I have a painfull lump that appeared in the bottom of my jaw this morning. The pain in in my mouth with some tenderness on my cheek. It is always there, and makes swallowing and other things that involve moving my toungue difficult. I'm also making lots of saliva which is difficult to swallow cos my tongue is swollen.
I totally intend to go to the doctors tomorrow as I think I have a fever now. Just wondered if anybody had something similar at one time, and what they had.

The things I had seen on the net are of salivary gland calculi and salivary gland tumours.

Hi there
This question has been bugging me. I have donated bone marrow to someone (unrelated). Perhaps I have been watching too much CSI, but I was curious, since this individual has my marrow, if youwere to test a blood sample of his, would it be my DNA?

I am having the WORST headaches (over the past week or so). They extend from the crown of my head down my forehead and into my eyebrows (and do not feel like sinus headaches). My head feels like there is a HUGE weigh pushing on it. I assume they are migraines, or tension headaches from stress.

I have been trying to get enough sleep (8 hrs a night), and trying to relax (which doesn't happen much). I also try to eat right, but working so much doesn't give me much to cook.

Let me add that right now I am working about 8-12hrs a day 7 days/week, and don't have a day off until October 20th. So taking a day off is not an option. (And the upcoming days I have off are for a wedding I am in, so it's not like I can just lay and relax.)

I have taken Excedrin. Doesn't work.

I have two questions:

1) What's the difference between a tension headache and a migraine? Which do you think mine are?

2) Any suggestions to alleviate them? (And no, I cannot take time off work. So that's not an option.)

Ok, this is really gross but lately I've been drinking a lot more tap water, rather than anything else. In this time I've developed some horrible gas and a lot of problems with my bowel movements. I didn't think there could be a connection, so I changed my diet. I gave up dairy and followed a plan that was supposed to help with IBS, but it didn't make a difference. My doctor put me on nexium a year ago, but I haven't been good about taking it because I sometimes forget and it's really expensive. So I began taking the prescription regularly and that didn't have much of an effect. I tried GasX and other over the counter stuff but it hasn't gone away.
My bf is healthy & has never had stomach problems. That is until he started staying at my home. We eat completely different foods, and have active lifestyles. yet as he started spending more time here, he began developing the same symptoms. He drinks a lot of tap water as well, and has never had problems with IBS.
Any ideas what it is

Hi,
I hope this message makes sense, and i also know that this site isnt a replacement from going to the gp, but I just need a few opinions.
I seem to have constant minor lowerback/kidney area (the kidneys are locacted in your lower back arent they? but this increases and becomes very very painful whenever I need the toilet and afterwards as well.
Does anybody know what could be causing this pain?, could it be an infection or something a bit more serious?.

I rolled my ankle (stepped on someone's foot playing basketball) about 6 months ago, and my ankle is still swollen. The whole ankle area is not swollen, just the outer ankle bone. There is no pain and I am able to play sports just like always. Any ideas why it would still be swollen, and what I can do about it?

I have been having reoccuring horrible stomach cramps for like 4 days now. They happen at random times of the day. It feels kinda like I'm being stabbed with a sword. And no it has nothing to do with my period. I also get very weak, shaky and dizzy along with the stomach problems. What could be the caus eof this? I would only like answers from doctors, or people educated in the medical field. Thankyou.

I've been thinking about getting one of those leg rest pillows, and they cost from $40 to $90. I'm young (early 20's), and I already have a couple of both varicose and spider veins (it runs in the family), and my legs ache a lot. I'm not overweight, and I don't stand for long periods of time. I've tried sleeping with just regular pillows under my feet/legs, but it's uncomfortable and my feet fall off. Should I get on of those leg rests? Does anyone use one and it's helping? If you do, is it worth it, and any recommendations on the brand and type? Anything else I can do to prevent leg pain/veins (not treat)?
