My shoulder was separated when I was 28. Now I am 58 and the bones hurt all the way to my hand. I hope your pain will not be as mine. I was factored to be able to handle the pain. However, without Chinese medicine in the form of chi patches, life would be a living hell.

If the shoulder is "getting stuck", you need to go to a doctor and get the shoulder examined to see that nothing has gone wrong with the cadaver bone & surgical nail or that there is not now another problem such as arthritis or bone spur or adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), etc. Since you have been pain-free for so long, this change in condition probably means something HAS changed and needs to be looked at. Sorry! Good luck.

You might have developed a bone spur under your Acromion, this usually tends to rub against your rotator cuff causing irritation and eventually a Tear. This is painful and you lose strength in your shoulder. Also the cadaver bone might have worked too well, its used to make the body grow healthy bone around it, maybe it's grown to an uncomfortable size. Tell your sutrgeon to schedule you for an MRI or X-rays which are cheaper.

I have had 3 surgeries on the right and 2 on the left, and all I can tell you is it probably won't ever get any better.
I take pain pills daily but they just dull the pain. However, that's good enough for me, I have learned to live with it.
Sounds like you need to attend "Pain Management" at your local hospital. They should offer it and teach you how to control it. Contact your doctor and ask if he can refer you!!! It does help some.

I suggest that you undergone a physical therapy session to strengthen the muscles of your shoulder. The muscle in your shoulder (ROTATOR CUFF Muscles) hold the humerus head in place and and stabilized it to prevent excessive movements that your shoulder make. so it means that your muscles should be strenghten. A professional Physical therapist so she or he can give you some of exercises to streghten your shoulder. And about your pain take pain relievers and a good therapy. oh by the way please ask your doctor or your PT what shoulder movements are should be contraindicated. I beleive your PT will help you with with expertise of her or his knowledge

The hardware that was implanted may have loosened. This is a very common occurrence for people who have screws, plates, etc. implanted for broken bones.
Follow up with your orthopedic surgeon who did your surgery.
