Hi,
I hope this message makes sense, and i also know that this site isnt a replacement from going to the gp, but I just need a few opinions.
I seem to have constant minor lowerback/kidney area (the kidneys are locacted in your lower back arent they? but this increases and becomes very very painful whenever I need the toilet and afterwards as well.
Does anybody know what could be causing this pain?, could it be an infection or something a bit more serious?.

Your kidneys are fairly low down in your back on either side. Are you getting the pain in both sides or just one? Do you have a temperature? Is there burning/stinging when you pee? If it's a urine infection it needs treatment sooner rather than later - make an appointment tomorrow. Hope you feel better soon. :)

Hi it sounds very much like a urine infection, especially that painful when needing the toilet. When you pee, your water should be quite clear, not yellow or any other colour. Best think to do is drink plenty fluids, just think of it like your body is a toilet, in order to flush away the yuk stuff you need more water. Cranberry juice is a fab one for that, but water or anything you can drink vast quantities of will do. You can get stuff from the chemist over the counter, but if no change after 3 days of drinking the world dry, you will have to see your gp, as it may be so raging an infection that you need antibiotics.
It is a well known fact that none of us really drink enough fluids myself included, this is a sign to say DRINK! but i find it works short term, then you go back to your bad habits. Also if it goes on too long the infection may cause liver damage so do the right thing.

ive been crippled with these pains as im prone to kidney infections. u can hardly stand the pain. also with a kidney infection u are very tired, u have the urge to go to the toilet as if u were bursting to and wen u go theres only a dribble. the main cause of a kidney infection is that every time u go to the toilet u are losing protein by urinitating in which causes a kidney infection. go to your local gp otherwise you could get hospitalised. also bring a urine sample. goodluck.

So..
My friend Rose was about 50 when she first came upon a new natural kidney healing program. Her life had been devastated, literally ruined with stage 4 kidney disease. She had no life, no job because she was too sick to work, not enough energy to see her friends and sat around most of the time watching TV. She basically was waiting around for kidney failure and to start dialysis. She is much better now. She followed a natural method with great results. It sounds like a bladder infection when the pain is in the lower back, if the pain is in the mid back area then it is probably a kidney infection. You probably need antibiotics.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

As it seems to be connected to going to the loo, then I would check it out asap. It could be a kidney infection. Have you had cystitis recently? That can cause it.

I had similar back pain to yours last year and it turned out to be a kidney infection.
