I was cleaning today, and I picked something up to vaccuum under it when I felt a sharp pain shoot through my wrist. It immediately swelled up, but what's weird about it is one area is more swollen than the rest. If u turn your hand palm side up and on the pinky side about 3 inches from where the hand meets the wrist is more swollen than anywhere else. Is it something serious? Should I go to the ER for x-rays? The pain and swelling seems to be going further up my arm as time passes.

OMG it took forever to type this left handed only.

Sorry for asking again but I only got 1 answer last time.

everyone finds it weird to still be a virgin especially when reach your twenties. i'm not that age yet but as a female teen i notice that having sex at a young age is the thing now and i don't understand. like the movie the 40 year old virgin, i found nothing wrong with that. it's best to wait with someone you truly love than to give it away so easy. just because something is good to you doesn't mean it's good for you. how do you feel about virgins?

If I touch a stye, or get a tear from an eye with a stye, can I transmit it to someone else?

My HDL is 79 and my LDL is 113. To my understanding, this means that my 'good cholesterol' is above the recommended level and my 'bad cholesterol' is below the recommended level; they are both in the range where they should be, but my total cholesterol is then 'high'. What I don't understand is why this is a bad thing. Do I have too much of a good thing? Is there such a thing as too much 'good cholesterol'? I don't really watch what I eat, but I walk quite a bit, my BMI is 20 and in general I feel pretty darned healthy. I need a straight answer from someone who can tell me if this cholesterol thing is something that should concern me.

In anticipation of an injury settlement offer regarding a slip and fall injury within a grocery store, I am interested in the ramifications of accepting a settlement. The insurance company will be reimbursed upon settlement for expenses they have paid to date. My concern is will they pay any further claims related to this injury once we have accepted a settlement from the grocers insurance company. The injured party has already had a procedure done on her lower back which has given her significant relief. However, it still flares up on occasion and we feel it is not a question of if she will need further medical intervention, but when. Any advice from those that are in the know about such things will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm pregnant and then I'll be nursing for a while, but when I come to one of my jobsites, I get soooo drowsy. I've tried cracking the window, changing the temp, et cetera....I can stay awake anywhere but here. I have to be alert as I'm teaching a class. Please help...I know oranges and orange juice help, but I'd also like something that won't spike my blood sugar so rapidly as well.
Thanks!!

friend who does not have any medical insurance, is always hitting me up for some, can I get into trouble for giving him some? We are both over 18 years old, so its not like I am supplying a minor with drugs...But my fear is that he might have a bad reaction to them and end up worse off then he is now...I have yet to share any pills with him; also if I do, it would be hard to explain to my Doctor why I ran out so fast.
