General Health Care - August 2006

Okay, so I ordered and HIV test on Ebay, but I don't want my parents to know. But, tomorrow I'm going to a theme park with my sister and dad and we will be back late. My mom will be home, and she might get the test...what will she think? Should I write a note to the mailman to save it, or to put it behind a garbage can, under a box, etc? If they find it, I can play it off and be like "Ahh man! They messed up my order, I ordered a video game and he gave me an HIV test!"

Recently went to the hospital for heat exhaustion/dehydration. My body was shutting down - passing out, cramping up, sick to my stomach. Now that it's all over I'm still very nervous and scared... I don't want that to ever happen again. How can I avoid dehydration in the future? (What worries me too is that I was drinking lots of water the day it happened!)

I was just diagnosed with tendonitis today. The hospital gave me info, but it wasn't much. I looked it up on webmd and couldn't really find too much. I want to know what exactly should I do. All the paper told me was to wear the brace they gave me and take motrin for pain and inflammation. What else can I do to help make this better?

My sister's doctor told her that it is impossible that it is impossible that her leg hurts!!! This was after she broke her leg and had 3 fractures. How does the doctor know if she is hurting, he said she is over dramatic!!!! But at least she went to another doctor.

If you spilled coffee on your face (i mean coffee right out of the maker) what degree burn would you get? I was just wondering b/c I spilled some on my hand earlier and it didn't feel that bad, but you hear all of these coffee burn horror stories, so I was just curious.

i went to the doctor today becuase of knee problems. it hurts when i walk and it grinds and pops. it will sometimes lock-up or give out. i expecially hurts when i use stairs. the orthapedic doctor said that my knee cap and ligaments are not lined up. he gave me a little knee support that goes right under the knee cap to hold it in place for when i play sports. and ordered physical therapy. it's the kind of thing that has just gotten worse over time - there was never any sudden injurty. now i don't think that the support is helping at all and i don't think the diagnosis is correct. he also wouldn't prescribe any pain medication when i ask for it, he just told me to take 3 advil, which has never worked in the past and i told him that. he said that if it doesn't get better in 6 WEEKS, to go back to have an MRI, that seems like a wery long time! should i get a seccond oppinion

I wanted to get one of my moles removed, but have no idea where I can get it done for under 100 dollars. I have heard of places where it can be done for this cheap, but don't know where to start looking. It has to be under 100. Does anyone know of a place. I live around Chino Hills.
