Change doctors. The fractures could have been improperly set. She could have healed improperly. Incompetent doctors do not take pain seriously, especially in their female patients. They tend to think it is "mental".
I had a friend die at 26 of a brain tumor after doctors decided she was unhappily married and gave her Valium. When she lost control of her bladder they said she was punishing her husband. Sadly she had to die to prove her doctor wrong.
Many doctors, especially the poor ones have a problem diagnosing problems. When you add their "God complex" it is a real problem for suffering patients.
Please change doctors immediately. Good luck.

First of all, I am not a doctor or a med. student. I'm a teacher. Ok, here goes: Just think! Society puts you on a pedestal and patients hang on your every word and after awhile, it would become easy to fall into the trap of believing the hype of your own importance. They are only human. They have good days and bad days. The majority of the time patients rarely question them, and when this occurs, they must feel a little defensive and they overreact, instead of pausing and taking the time to think things over (like they advise us to do). As a patient, you must try to get the best care that you can and getting a second opinion is a wise choice. I hope your sister has a quick recovery. Good luck, Doug

I'm sorry you had such a lousy experience with your sister's doctor I but contrary to popular belief, most doctors actually care about their patients. It's just sometimes when patients are very dramatic, it's hard to evaluate the level of pain that they're in. I hope you have a more pleasant experience with your next doctor.

I think Doctors, have to become somewhat emotionally detached, after all, they deal with life and death decisions, on a regular basis. If they become too emotionally involved, I don't think they would be in the profession very long..........(:.......That is my opinion of Doctors, in general, but in some cases, you really need to fire your Doc. and go to someone else, your Sis needs to do this immediately!, pain, is one thing no one can see, so you really need to go to a more opened minded, and compassionate Doc..Good luck to your Sis.

Your doctor sounds like a real jerk. : ( He probably thinks he knows everything because he has a lot of money.. and went to medical school, etc. My plastic surgeon is hot! LOL. Had to throw that out there.

I think it's becuase, as we nurses say, doctors take "God 101" in college. Many of them think they're better than others, which results in them acting cocky or mean, just because they're doctors.
