I don't believe the condition, which is called heterochromia, is very common. I once had a friend who had two different colored eyes.

Not too rare. My dad has two different ones and so do 2 of my friends.

My Biology teacher in High School had ONE eye that had two different colors, brown and blue, divided in half on a slant. I think she had everyone beat. Yes, it's true - once you saw her, you could never stop trying to NOT look at that eye.

My husbands sister has one blue and one brown. I have seen it a lot, so I do not think it could be that rare. But I didn't look up the statistics.

It is unusual but not rare at all. It happens a lot, especially in hot climates for some reasons.

i know 2 people like that, it dont think it's as rare as people say. i have blue eyes and one eye has more brown in it.

I have a friend that has one blue eye and one green eye, my folks have a horse that has one brown eye and one blue eye, and I used to have a cat that had 1 blue eye and 1 green eye. So I guess it's not so unusual.
