They put you in a bed, they put an I.V. in you then while they are getting all there supplies ready the doctor will talk to you about what they are going to do, ( but if they don't then ask). Then they put this mask on you and you fall asleep, it is like really weird, you CANNOT stay awake. It's really not even like sleep, it's kinda like getting knocked out. Then you wake up in a room called the recovery room, and when you wake up they take you to your room and you just rest there for a little bit and then you get to go home. But you are in alot of pain for a while, probably like 2 or 3 weeks, you wont be able to talk, and you wont want to eat, i lost alot of weight when i had mine taken out. Well good luck if you are having yours takin out.

Don't be scared. They put you to sleep for a little while, all the while they are monitoring you closely. They make a little incision pop out the tonsiles, a few stitches and then they wake you up. Wala instant sore throat. They say you get lots of icecream but your throat is way to sore for even that, It get better then you can start to eat it. Alot depends on your age also. The older you are the more serious it is . Good luck

They put you to sleep, then go into your throat and remove your tonsils. After you wake up, you have the worst sore throat of your life, but it goes away after a day or so. People feed you ice cream and other cold stuff to make you feel better.
The best part is that the reason you had your tonsils out in the first place - all the sore throats and swollen glands - is going to stop now. My throat used to almost swell shut before they took out my tonsils. I hardly ever get a sore throat now.

OK they cut a hole in your neck about the size of a football.. Then they get a chainsaw and cut out theToncalles.. It dont hurt you sleep right through it!! NO it's really easy thing for them to do you will be sure for 3 or 4 days but then everthing is back to normal!!..I was just kidding about the football and chainsaw!! From a REAL Nutcase!!
