I was cleaning today, and I picked something up to vaccuum under it when I felt a sharp pain shoot through my wrist. It immediately swelled up, but what's weird about it is one area is more swollen than the rest. If u turn your hand palm side up and on the pinky side about 3 inches from where the hand meets the wrist is more swollen than anywhere else. Is it something serious? Should I go to the ER for x-rays? The pain and swelling seems to be going further up my arm as time passes.

OMG it took forever to type this left handed only.

Sorry for asking again but I only got 1 answer last time.

yes, you should go see a Dr on this, you could have torn a tendon in your wrist. They will be able to do xrays and tell you for sure what you did. Try putting ice on it,and keeping it above your heart. Good luck to you...

Your joints probably seperated slightly and "pinched" a nerve when they set back in place.
Gently massage your wrist and hand whenever you think about it.
If it still aches as much tomorrow, go see your doc. It will probably take a few days to really disappear though.
