For those who are in relationships with a genital herpes carrier: how long into the relationship that you finally got the disease, or are you still healthy by now? Are you male or female? What made you decide to be with this person despite of his/her medical condition? Any tips to minimize the risk?

for about 2 weeks i've been getting these 2 spots on the shaft that are very red like. 1 time they bled. about 2 days ago i saw that the spots have spread to almost half my foreskin (im UC). today i wake up and have pain and this itch on my foreskin and this transperant like discharge has been going on for the whole day. last time i had sex was about a month ago with my girlfriend and she was on antibiotics. it was protected but the condom slightly came off for a second revealing some foreskin of mine to her. she said about 2 days later she had gotten a yeast infection. could i have one? what good treatments are there???

I'm Pregnant and went to the doctors about a week and a half ago I just got the blood test and so on I was just wondering if any of my test came back postive would they call and inform me or would the wait until my next appointment. I really worried about the HIV test because I havent gotten on in a long time and had sex with someone else since. I know they take about a week for the results and I was thinking with that one test they would have called to let me know right away to prevent me from spreading it to partner or baby right? because next appointment is weeks away. Do anyone know should I be worring or not.

Hey all,

I had a STUPID STUPID unprotected drunken encounter 3 nights ago with a 40 year old female who I had know for a while. It was unprotected vaginal sex, she claim to have had a pap less then 8 months ago along with an HIV test all of which were normal !!

I am worried sick and feel like a complete idiot for doing what I did considering I have practiced safe sex for over 20 years !!

Question, what are the chances that I have contracted HIV and do I need to go get tested ? If so, how soon can I test for accurate results ?

herpes? why is it so hard for a regular person to find someone to date and have that relationship last longer than a year without the other person leaving you just because you have herpes? does anyone know and is aware that herpes is not hiv, nor aids, millions and millions of people have it, yet no one seems to be okay with it.

Quite often I get sores on my labia major that sort of ache and are red but very rarely pus and never rupture on their own. If broken the pus is white-ish to even a very light grey-ish brown color. I'm not sure if its herpes as they dont scar and rupture on their own but I'm not sure what they are or if they are contagious. I've had them ever since I can remember, even before I became sexually active. (And I always use protection)

If it can be transmitted through sexual contact, and from sharing needles can it be transmitted if a mosquito sucks the blood of an infected person and then goes and sucks the blood of a non infected person. Its not like the mosquito cleans its little sucker after every drink.

Im a male and right now im freaked out! About a month ago i got a plain handjob no sex whatsoever. I just noticed these red sometimes itchy sores on my testicular area. The funny thing is that they don't appear on my penis or testicles but on my leg next to my testicles but on both sides. Please serious answers.

I get canker sores once in a long while. But this is the first time i got a sore on my gums, its like on the gums in the back of my teeth. Well it started out as this red thing that burned, then the next day a solid bump show up (It wasn't a blister, cause it was very solid) then it turn into a sore with the white stuff over it. It sort of followed the steps of canker sore, but it also followed the steps of oral herpes. Im not sure how canker sores go in gums cause this is the first one i had on my gums, there usually like on my cheeks and stuff. So can anyone shed some light on the situation?

I developed a burning sensation when urinating about 2 weeks after unprotected sex. I also developed a medium sized pimple like bump on the lower under side of the shaft of my penis around the same time. I didn't go to the doctor and it's been about 3 months since the symptoms first appeared.

The burning sensation went away after about a month, but the bump is still there, only it has gotten slightly smaller. It kind of looks like it's under the skin. There also seems to be a hole at the top of it which looks like a large pore. I thought that it was an ingrown hair because I get those alot, but those usually only take about 2 months to release the almost fully grown hair. I thought that it was syphlis at first but according to all the medical websites the sore is supposed to heal on it's own. It doesn't hurt. Could it be a genital wart? I think it might be but why is it under the skin and why does it have the small hole at the top? Anyone ever have something like this?

Last October I was diagnosed with HPV (Human Papola Virus) and they did a biopsy and it showed I had pre-cancerous cells. Well, 2 weeks after that I found out I was pregnant! Now, 11 months later I now have an 8 week old son.
I just got my pap smear done last week (my 6 week post pardum check up after having the baby) and everything looks great! No HPV! and No pre-cancerous cells!!
Can HPV really go away like that??????

I have some tenderness but no visible discoloring or rash around a patch of skin on my right upper thigh. This has been going on for about 5 days. After doing some internet research, I think I might be one of the millions of people who have some form of herpes but do not know it due to very mild, almost symptomless recurrences. I have linked my skin tenderness to a possible herpes infection but I can't find any hard information on a typical recurrence's duration. Does anyone know how many days a herpes recurrance lasts?
