My husband insists that I slept with the female neighbor. I am hetro not homo or bi. Sorry if anyone takes offense to those words. That just leads me to believe that he is looking for a way to take the blame off of him and put it on me when I did nothing wrong so he feels better about himself.

well, i just had a herpes test yesterday, they said they think i may have herpes b/c i have a bump, but they're not for sure. if i do have herpes what are the chances of my baby[s] gettin herpes when i deliver them?I'm not pregnant, but of course i do plan on having kids after i get out of college, But they wouldn't do a C-Section would they? Don't answer if you don't know, I just wanna know is there more of a chance the baby won't get it or is it a good chance..And also is it true that people with herpes get more yeast infections and BV?

So I met this guy I really like, and he recently confided that he has herpes. He controls it pretty well with Valtrex, but condoms are necessary, etc etc etc...

My question is this: Does anyone know how likely herpes transmition is if we use condoms every time, and he takes Valtrex every day (and obviously, no sex if he has an outbreak until it's over)? I have read that Valtrex reduces the transmition rate.

Has anyone had sex with an infected partner and not gotten the disease?

Serious answers only, please.

My girlfriend recently told me she has herpes(don't know which one, just herpes)...She's on Valtrex & I'm really ready to take the relationship 2 the next level(and so is she lol) but since she told me that i've had 2 rethink how and if i should go there with her...She told me she has herpes in the genital area but i don't know about the mouth...People have told me if i do it with her, 2 wrap it up of course...But i was wondering even with a condom can she still pass it 2 me lets say in one position more than another...For example if she's on top and she's really "lubricating" as oppose to standard missionary where her fluids wouldn't stream down to my genital area...And what about her breasts...She recently gave birth early this year and had been breastfeeding. Is it possible 2 pass herpes through the nipples? They tell me that it can come through the tiniest breaks in the skin and i figured the nipples...yeah...I'm so confused about this stuff...Jus wanna stay clean but love my girl

For you who have genital herpes for a long time (>7 years), does it get mild, and how less (if any) contagious is it compared to when you just had it?

My doctor said I don't have a new case of herpes, but the test resulted that I have the 'virus'. He said the test does not clarify the location of the herpes. I've not seen anything on my groin or it's surrounding, and I did have a blister on my lip....which evidently 90% of us get at one point in our life.

Is there a specific test I can take to make sure I don't have type 1 or type 2 down there?

He said the tests specificially for type 2 where inaccurate and that if I didn't have painful blisters down there, that I shouldn't worry (about either type down there)....although browsing the internet tells me that you could get either type and have no symptoms or blisters.

Again, what specific test (name please)...tests if I have it down there? Or is it just a shot in the dark and I have to wait and see if I affect someone or not? I'd like to think there's a bit more clarity to this....

I have been doing what my doctor has asked for 1 year. I will be getting a Cryotherapy done on me to freeze my uterus. However, I can't help but feel that despite my efforts the virus will continue to be in my system until it turns to cancer. My doctor said that the virus is a lingering virus but my prognosis is excellent because I am catching it on time. What is going to happen when I get older and my immune system can't fight the virus or keep it suppressed?

Recently I had a scare with herpes. Here's the story.

I thought I received in on the 9th, and my symptoms started within 2 hours (on my mouth). But from what I'm told from my doctor is that it isn't possible to see new symptoms so fast...and that it would require an incubation time.

The test said I didn't acquire anything new, but I have gained the virus down the line (ie either type 1 or 2). This is the first time I recall having something like oral herpes on my mouth...although I've frequently had dry lips...and I'm wondering if they're one and the same!? Are the times I have dry lips...herpes from my youth or from kissing?

I have had no blisters down below and I'm trying to figure out if I have type 1 or type 2 on my lip...but my doctor says they're tied together....as far as the test goes. I want to be responsible and not transfer anything, but at the same time I don't want to forgo my sex life if all I have is oral herpes...which 60% of the population has to some degree.
