My doctor said I don't have a new case of herpes, but the test resulted that I have the 'virus'. He said the test does not clarify the location of the herpes. I've not seen anything on my groin or it's surrounding, and I did have a blister on my lip....which evidently 90% of us get at one point in our life.
Is there a specific test I can take to make sure I don't have type 1 or type 2 down there?
He said the tests specificially for type 2 where inaccurate and that if I didn't have painful blisters down there, that I shouldn't worry (about either type down there)....although browsing the internet tells me that you could get either type and have no symptoms or blisters.
Again, what specific test (name please)...tests if I have it down there? Or is it just a shot in the dark and I have to wait and see if I affect someone or not? I'd like to think there's a bit more clarity to this....
