Yes, men can be directly affected by HPV just like women can.
Men can develop genital warts from HPV and RARELY penile and anal cancer.
Pap smears can come back abnormal because of many different things, including HPV.
If you do have HPV then you can certainly pass it on to any sexual partner you have. Condoms can HELP prevent the spread of the virus but they are never truly 100% effective. HPV is a DIRECT skin to skin contact virus. So, even if the condom is covering the penis, it is NOT covering the entire genital area. Just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex or foreplay is enough to spread HPV.
Good luck and take care!

How do you think woman get HPV? they get it from guys..... having abnormal cells in cervix doesn't automatically mean that you have HPV...but if so...hpv is very common...the most common std...just wear condoms...and keep getting your exams... you might want to research HPV online or buy a book... that stuff will better answer your questions.
And to clarify for someone saying that HPV is worse than AIDS...he is very wrong.... AIDS kills you... destroys your immune system... a long slow death... HPV.. can be treated... doesn't kill you and yes it can cause cervical cancer... but that is also treatable.... so don't listen to that guy!

No men can get it. It's just genital warts. Actually, certain strains of HPV are responsible for common and plantar's warts too.
And not all cervical cancers are the direct result of HPV. It could be that you just have some suspicious cells that they want to take a look at.

First of all, HPV is not worse than aids. Aids can kill, HPV can not. The warts can be removed but can come back like any other wart. Use protection to protect any potential partner.

hpv can be given 2 anyone
and the bad thing about it is Hpv is worse than aids
u cant have any sexual contact around that hole area
sexual intercourse does not even have 2 happen
touching someone down there can spread it in
so until u find out if u have Hpv or any kind if other std i would not have any sexual contact until u get some results from ur physician

They can, that is usually how it is spread to women is from men who have it. However, since men don't have cervixes they don't have to worry about getting cervical cancer. They are just like carriers of the virus. They most likely never know they have it.
