Skin Conditions

I just went to my doctor about a rash around my waist area and he diagnosed it as shingles. However, there is no pain involved, just itchiness. I told him that but he seemed to think it was still shingles. I've checked everywhere online and it seems that pain usually always comes before the rash, which I got a few days ago. Is it possible that the pain will come later or has my doctor misdiagnosed me?

So my friend has this odd rash. Started with a small spot on his left leg. It just looks a little dry, but not very noticeable. He says it's usually fine, but if it itches and a scratches it, it feircly itches more. This appeared about 2 months ago, and now there is another spot on the other leg, where his legs touch.
He has no insurance, scabies has been suggested, but I really don't think that's it. It doesn't seem to be very contagious, as it hasn't spread much and no one else has caught it from him.

Do you think my doctor will prescribe me tretinoin even though my acne isn't that severe. I don't have a lot of pimples, but just little bumps every here and there. I've been prescribed tretinoin before, but that was last year when I had REALLY REALLY bad acne.

I want to use it again just to prevent acne. I also want to use it to treat my discolored skin and discolored laugh lines(it's darker than the rest of my face probably due to sun damage)

Also are there any side effects to tretinoin because I read on a site that some doctors may be hesitant to prescribe tretinoin because of its side effects.

I just recently ordered the E-manual and I am very interested in trying the solution, however the Acne Connection Archives seem to have been abandoned. Why is that? Is there anyone still out there who has tried the program that I can get feedback from? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

So me and my cousin in whom i live with were diagnosed with scabies about a month ago. We treated twice and were getting resualts. Then the other day my dad said that he wanted to treat b/c he was itching to. We told him to treat before buthe said that he didnt have them. I dont to treat again b/c i for one have really sensitive skin && for two am scared b/c the cream that you use to get rid of scabies has fermaldihide and different pestisides. should i retreat?????

My 14 yr old daughter has acne, since she was 11. She has just been prescribed the Dianette pill, antibiotics and a topical gel for her face and back. Obviously, having acne has caused her to have low self esteem and she MUST wear foundation to school. Her GP has said as long as it is not oily, it isnt, and to put it on lightly which makes sense. I forgot to ask her what type of cleansing cream my daughter should use to take off her foundation after school - the GP also said to not use exfoliators which also makes perfect sense. Any advice for my daughter would be appreciated, thank you.

This rash is patchy..it's red, flaky and has puss filled spots..It's raisd, and makes my skin DRY and FLAKY..it's not ringworm, I know it's not..

Been here for two weeks..? VERY ITCHY!
What possibly can this be? Eczema??

I was sat at my desk and i had a tingling sensation start at the top of the right side of my head and it followed down my right arm. It was really strange, i looked to see if i had goose pimples but nothing! it was like someone sprinkling power over me.

I had a TIA a couple of weeks ago could it be linked??

Gosh! I can't stand it. I can not wear nice color clothes because the sweat will show by my pits. I always have to wear dark clothes. Its weird whenever im at home or with my boyfriend they never sweat. But if im around people, or any where else then home my pits sweat. I tried the secret clinical stuff , it doesnt work.

u know my hand is chapped from last winter and it's really ugly...my friends all laughing at me...and i really embarrassed...especially when i'm writing..my friends who sites opposites me always make fun of me...
can u suggest anything that can improve my hand...
by the way, i'm currently using coconut oil hand lotion..and it's not really good for me..and please don't say that i have to wear glove because i wear it everytime i go out....
