Heat just in 1 area, not all over body

That's definitely not true. Erythema is a medical term for skin redness--NOT heat.

I'm drawing a blank on any specific terms for heat. If your skin were red, hot, and firm, a physician would describe it is "erythematous, warm, and indurated." Most people just say warm or hot.
