Possibly. You can get herpes from the food, as it is transported by fluids.

Wait a couple days, if the bump swells and looks like it might have puss inside, it is a cold sore. Cold sores don't always hurt, and sometimes the go away before you knew they were there.

To stop a cold sore when you first see the symptoms, take Lysine pills. Lysine will help get rid of the cold sore.

I believe you got it from that man.It happens quite often with me.I am highly susceptible to cold, so mush so that if one sneezes (who is having cold) in front of me, I start sneezing within an hour or so .I take some Coldarine or similar medicines. If I ignore or delay, the I get severe cold that lasts for a fortnight or so.
You must have got that due to the fact that you spent sometime in close proximity with that man.i don't think you got this because he touched your food.....it is not logically acceptable.Recently, I found that if I take any anti allergy tab , I get quick relief. It may be , catching cold easily due to close association with someone , is simple an allergic symptom+psychological to some extent.
Yours is almost like mine. One thing is sure , "his touch on food has nothing to do with your sore throat etc."
You may try my formula in future in future if you are having a case like mine.Take anti allergy tablet(common one).I am sure , you will get quick relief. If already late , like you are at this moment , you can have some gurgling after each meal and the longest one should be before going to bed without having any exchange of words with anyone. You will have sound sleep..../..but, don't forget to take anti allergy tabs ....2 to 3 a day ....the last one just before gurgling.

God Bless

It does not work like that! Your food did not touch your lips but went inside of your mouth. YOU CANNOT GET STDs from eating or drinking behind anyone.

Had you not eaten with the person, you would still have broken out with the sores.

If it is, you didn't get it from the person you came in contact with yesterday, you'd have to have direct contact.
