Alright, so i had some minor, and very minor acne on my chin before football season started. After a while obviously after getting hit in the chin a lot my acne started getting HUGE, im so embarressed, and i mean huge like tons all over my chin and huge huge huge huge. Also because of the infection my lymph nodes are huge now and staying inflamed. Since football is over now they have calmed down a bit, and have gone down after using clindagel for a while that i got from my doctor. I went to a dermetologist 2 days ago and now im on Retin-A MICRO, and taking 2 Minocycline tablets a day. So my problem is im going on a cruise in 2 weeks and i really want this gone. Is there any way i can get it gone by then? any on treatments? is this good enough? please help me!! (Also my lymph nodes started getting sore again after the first day of my new treatments, is that normal?) please answer all these i really want to know them and i was kind of embarressed to ask my doctor all these.
THANKS!

If I am interested in getting some acne medication for moderate/severe acne, would I need to go to a dermatologist, or can I just go through my primary doctor? Thanks guys!

Hi guys, I am 22 and have had mild/moderate acne for a few years now. I also have fairly dry skin. I wash my face twice a day, morning and night, with cetaphil cleanser and put on aveeno moisturizer. I also have alot of fainter red spots from previous acne that stays for months afterwards. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to solve this problem. I am not trying proactive or acne free or accutane. I am looking more so for over the counter products as my acne is not serious. I tried Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash and it tore up my face making it EXTREMELY dry, red and flaky. Any input would be very much appreciated.

This is so gross and embarrassing, but I think I have ringworm. It is on my chin. I just bought some antifungal cream.

In general is it better to cover it with a bandage or let it open to the air? I'm not sure if it matters or not, but it is currently not dry. If it is better to let it air out, would it do more damage to cover it up (when I go out in public, because it looks disgusting)?

It's hurting me so bad under my lip if I touch it, it burns. There's no white head or puss in it to pop it. My mom said to put hot compresses on it, I used the shower but nothing happened, it's still there. Any help?

How should I approach the situation in asking my mom? Thanks guys for any help.

My boyfriend's had a toenail fungus for over 3 years, and hasn't done a whole lot except try one fungus pill that he found on Ebay. It looks pretty black, it's short and spikey. It doesn't grow at all and it keeps getting shorter. Should we even try Lamisil or is it too late? Is removing the nail and option and if so how does that look? Will it ever grow back into place?

For the last 2 months the front of my calves have been quite itchy. It would be an on/off thing. but in the last few days, they've been non stop itchy, where I want to scratch them continuously, to the point where they are raw and start burning, then when the burning stops, they become itchy again.

My bf suggests I might be allergic to the fabric soap we use. But I dont understand why it would effect my skin there, where fabric barely touches, as opposed to more sensitive areas. My pharmacist suggested I was allergic to the water here (since I moved 2 months ago), and that I just had to get used to the water. But its getting worse, not better.

I've been using Aveeno anti-itch lotion, which did help before, but now its not doing anything.

I'm going to the walk in clinic tomorrow hopefully, any suggestions that I could bring up with him?

Is it possible that its related to a psychological condition, since I do suffer from depression and it has been getting worse.
