When I take a shower, I love really hot showers. Usually when I get out the shower I am glowing red. My mum, told me that being in a shower as hot as I was, I was cooking my skin because of the high temperture and long term exposure since I take long showers. Is this true, because that sort of scared me to think that I am cooking my skin.

My daughter had her tuberculosis shot in her arm and developed keloid which is annoyingly painful at times.
She went to see a skin specialist once and had injections twice into the keloid area and found some relief but the pain came back thereafter.
Could anyone advise what she could consider to overcome the pain or, better still, to remove the keloid.
Thank you.

Heres my story I took my 7 year old daughter to the dermatologist today, Keep in mind, that this little girl never crys, very strong child. Anyway~the dr comes in and asks how the cream was working for her warts, I replied not very well. He says "well then I guess we will have to freeze them off, and be prepared it will burn and hurt, not gonna lie to u" , but decided to go on with the procedure. He started with 2 on her ankle and she was in some pain, but not to bad. He froze them , and then was looking at other places on her leg, and my daughter which was scared told him that those were just bug bites, he replied, i think i know what bug bites look like a little better than u. But anyways he continures to freeze them off and does not give her any break, she is screaming to the top of her lungs. He says nothing to her, gets up and leaves. I know this does not sound bad to some, but then I leave and go to complain to the board of med, and when i am doing a search, I cant find his name

My skin on my arms is bright red (raw looking) and hot to the touch for days-even weeks after prolonged sun exposure. Usually more on my left arm as I habitually have it on my window when driving long distances whereas my right arm is inside the vehicle. My question is this-how can a middle aged woman suddenly develop a sun allergy and who ever heard of such a thing? (unless you're born with it)

I have heard that Zinc Oxide ointment is good to help get rid of underarm odor people use it when they are allergic to deodarant or when the bacteria underarms causes excess odor. Has anyone ever used this and did it work for you?

I'm guessing a long-term solution would be to loose some weight so my thighs wouldn't rub in the first place, but what I really need is something to stop it from being so painful right now.

It isn't normally anything like this bad, but as swimming costume season has arrived I have shaved all the gross pubic-like hair that grows there off (am I the only one whose pubic hair doesn't stay where it's supposed to?). Once I'd shaved it the skin was smooth-ish for a while but large red spot-like things had appeared, like my legs had acne.

It all hurts and I am looking for something that will sooth it. I am teenage and therefore WAY too embarassed to see a doctor for it, but if there was something cheap I could pick up in Boots that would not be embarassing to be seen buying, that would be perfect.

In the bathroom cupboard I found a bottle of Calamine Lotion which claims to 'soothe sunburn and other minor skin conditions'. Will that help?

Any ideas for soothing skin? Thanks.

I have poison ivy covering my forearms from trimming tree branches. My problem, other than it's extremely annoying, is that I work in a factory setting so wearing long sleeves is really hot.
