a mosquito will leave a bit of its spit in your skin, causing you irratation,,this you should notice before going to bed..
also, check for bite marks,,,a tic will leave tiny bite marks, & so will a spider..shudder to think, but it happens..known of it..& it's not too uncommon.
chances are you've gotten a good case of chiggers, try putting some good thick nail polish on them.that smothes them out..& the ointment they use for muscle ache, the key ingredient is menthol & ,,that will give you some instant relief & you can get it at a $ store just as good as the higher priced ones.
wouldnt hurt to take some benadryl either, unless youre allergic to it, don't be scared at what i told you,i've been there, & done that....hope this helped lol

You've got chiggers. Get some clear nail polish and put some on each bite. It blocks off the air oxygen to the chiggers that have gotten into your bloodstream. It works!

Sounds like bedbugs, while it's dark, turn on light,& pull covers off quickly, you'll see them run very fast. They look like a beetle, reddishbrown,& smell like almonds when you squish them or at least one. They were big time in the '60's,now for some reason they are making a comeback.

It could also be fleas; especially if you have a dog. Nothing shamefull about it - sometimes fleas go through population explosions in summer, when breeding conditions are just right.
