Heres my story I took my 7 year old daughter to the dermatologist today, Keep in mind, that this little girl never crys, very strong child. Anyway~the dr comes in and asks how the cream was working for her warts, I replied not very well. He says "well then I guess we will have to freeze them off, and be prepared it will burn and hurt, not gonna lie to u" , but decided to go on with the procedure. He started with 2 on her ankle and she was in some pain, but not to bad. He froze them , and then was looking at other places on her leg, and my daughter which was scared told him that those were just bug bites, he replied, i think i know what bug bites look like a little better than u. But anyways he continures to freeze them off and does not give her any break, she is screaming to the top of her lungs. He says nothing to her, gets up and leaves. I know this does not sound bad to some, but then I leave and go to complain to the board of med, and when i am doing a search, I cant find his name

And u are supposed to be able to locate any doctor on this site to review their licence/malpractices, or whatever.
But I can not find him on there no where.

O~and before we left, he tells me in front of her, that if the freezing of the warts dont work~then they will burn them off next time, and that requires needles.
Doent doctors take an Ethic Oath?

He may not be a board certified dermatologist. You should always check and make sure doctors are board certified. And this might sound kind of harsh but did you ask him to stop? If not he may have figured that it was OK with you. You are the parent here. You are also the guardian of the patient. You had the power to stop him. I feel bad for your daughter. She should not have to go through that pain. But the adult has to take the lead on something like this.

The doctor may have a poor bedside manner but that does not constitute malpractice.

Everything is not a lawsuit, in order to have a lawsuit you must show some actual harm that resulted from what the doctor has done.

If you were there with your daughter and did not want the doctor to continue his treatment you should have told him to stop. You are allowed to refuse treatment.

FYI: enable's say you win a million greenback malpractice settlement. or in step with risk a $one thousand malpractice settlement. Your medical coverage organisation CAN and could bypass after a factor to the settlement to conceal their 'loss' by using procuring a botched medical prepare. decreasing settlements cut back the money going to the kinfolk. My buddy gained a fit, and grew to become into in the wellbeing midsection for one greater 2 weeks convalescing from a wellbeing midsection/wellbeing care professional blunders. She had to settle 40% to attorneys, and 30% to her medical coverage organisation, all in the previous she observed a dime. She walked away with 30% of the settlement.

you don't have a case, sorry. His manner sucks, no doubt about it, but everything he actually did was ethical and appropriate treatment for the problem. Not finding his name in the state medical lists would give me a bit of concern though. He should be there if he is practicing in the state. You may want to call his office and ask for proof of licensure, they have to provide this if you ask.
