My son has SEVERE SEVERE ringworm, and I took him to the doc, she prescribed griseofulvin, and he has been taking it for 2 1/2 weeks. Instead of getting better, it has gotten worse!!! It is so----- severe, I don't know what to do. I've been putting tea tree oil on him for the past week, and it's not really helping either. What do you do if the standard treatment does not work??? I cannot find any info anywhere about griseofulvin not working and what you do when it doesn't! HELP! HELP! HELP!!!!!

I'm taking an esthetics class at Georgia Career Institute. We do treatments on clients that come here. I help them find better ways to treat their skin. I heard that the pH balance of Dove soap is awful. Clients usually ask if it's ok to use Dove on their skin, because they have heard that it causes problems with kidneys and also causes blood clots. I didnt know what to suggest for them...???

I'm african american and I have stretch marks. I gave birth to two chilren under age two. The first in march of last year and the second two months ago. I hear microderm abrasion works an I know that the skin cream mederma works fairly well over a few months. I cant afford laser surgery but I want to be a fashion model one day. I just need to know if there is a way to cover them for a long time or lessen them in a short period of time. Will sunless tanner help me? If you need to see my skin color my myspace is :

i am not shaving my 8 yrolds head!! rid does not work, does mayo work overnight, or vinager. or are thier other ways to kill them at home.and after thier gone,how do i keep them to stay away and not come back?? some people say skin so soft or pink lotion makes thier hair too slippery to stay attached! there has to be some stuff you can leave in your hair so she doesn't get them from kids at school!! and her school doesn't send kids home if they have it they just have to take a note home to thier parents,shouldn't they send all kids in the class home with notes saying a child in her class has them you might want to check your kids hair. how can i make them strickter on getting rid of this problem!! other schools here send the kid home and won't let them back till thier gone, but her school thinks it's no biggie and so all the kids are infested!! i'm trying to switch schools, but w/my job it's not possible at this time to pick her up, and i don't know anyone who would. help!!

i don't mean for this to be inappropriate, but i found a redish lump on my..."stuff" and it hurts a lot when it rubs up against things like my underwear.

Now i haven't had sex in over a year and a half and i've only had one sexual partner and i used a condom everytime so i don't think it is something like herpies but i was wondering if maybe it was like a zit or something because i know when i get a zit on like my upper lip or on my back, they tend to hurt a lot to. If you know please let me know, if not i'll probably get it checked out after a week or so if it doesn't go away. (i was thinking that maybe it was a blood blister possibly)

i have a HUGE wart on my thumb by my cutical and the doctor said i chould use this stuff.(perscription). It works. its been shrinking but if u pick @ ur wart which i do personally and then put the stuff on it it BURNS!!! but if u dont pick @ ur warts while ur using this medicine u will be fine.

I've had giant pimple (i think) under my nose now for almost a month when i look at it closesly..its a yellow-ish color i know its not a whitehead but idk whether its a blackhead...its just kinda a yellow bubble....I don't even know if its a pimple cause i've tried everything...popping it with a needle (it just bled) toothpaste (the only thing that sorta kinda shrunk it a lil)...rubbing alcohol....some bullshit method of soaking it in salt water and then squeezing it (that made it bigger and redder). I dont. I dont know what i should do. Dermatologist is basically out since i just loss my insurance. Any advice?

in a very private area..not sure what caused it..we have tried hydrocortizone creams, aloe vera and other creams to try and heal it. He's had it for about a week now..and instead of getting better it seems to have gotten worse. He's in a lot of pain from the rash. any suggestions on what to do, any other creams that will work better..any advice what so ever would be appreciated.

She said that, for example, if you are working on a computer, it will omit UV rays and SPF cream will protect you from it..I thought only the sun could give off UV rays that damage the skin..!??

I had pretty bad acne when i was in middle school & it pretty much cleared on it's own but now i'm having new skin problems that i don't no how to deal with... it's as if all of the pores on my face are clogged! it causes my face to be very rough as if i have dry skin but i don't its actually very oily... i hardcore exfoliate whenever it gets built up too bad with a dry cloth... i scrub so hard that it basically extracts all of the dirt & oil in my pores... on the first day my skin is super soft & smooth(after it gets over the redness & puffines of course) but then i get peely dead skin & over production of oils which may cause a breakout... so my question is how can i prevent my pores(which are huge btw) from becoming clogged in the first place?

We think my little brothers mole might be a birthmark. He is having it removed tommorow by a laser. Will it really scar him badly if it's a birthmark? Also, Are scars usually noticeable by people?
