my husband was working in the yard and did not notice he had a large blister on his hand until it popped. whats the best way to care for it? skin left on? off? etc. thanks.

Cover it with neosporin, then with a light bandage. Don't pick the skin off: That would simply open your husband up for even more infection.

Keep it clean and dry (with a band aid or something) and keep the skin on it. The skin will come off when it is ready. Don't aggravate it.

If there is loose skin, I would remove it with a clean fingernail clipper, and keep it clean and dry, no bandage necessary, unless his feet sweat a lot.

I would say put antibiotic ointment and a bandage on it so that it doesn't get infected.
