Skin Conditions - January 2007

I have oily skin and after using various acne removing soaps etc.. I've stuck to doing the following for the past month or so:

Juts so you know I'm a teenage guy.

Use Nivea Oil Control face wash (nearly every morning and evening, in the morning during my bath, and in the evening just whilst washing face).

I would exfoliate my skin using St Ives Exfoliator maybe once a week (sometimes less).

I have Nivea Oil Control Moisturizer but I don't really use it, my skin has never really been dry.

My skin is still as oily as ever, although for the hour or so after washing my face (whether with water or nivea face wash, my face stays normal)...

Please can someone tell me how I can improve this, and increase my chances of getting rid of lots of acne on my forehead, and lose the greasy face? Someone mentioned a toner but I don't know what that's about.

Thanks..

It isn't chicken skin. I think it is a bunch of ingrown hairs, but it is on my legs too. I don't shave my arms. Does anyone know what it is and how to make it go away? the bumps aren't red, they are skin colored, and are kind of like a rash, but I have had them for like ever. it isn't an allergic reaction. Help!

I've had the problem for years and years. I've tried every shampoo and conditioner out there except for Nizoral (which I have been testing for two weeks now with no results except for lessened itching). I've tried yogurt. I've tried apple cider vinegar. Nothing.

It's been an extremely embarrassing problem...the source of lots of self-esteem issues. It was gone during last summer for the first time in my life (I have no idea why) but it came back this winter.

I wash my hair every other day, and the hair itself is quite healthy (shiny and soft with no split ends), it's just the scalp that has problems. I don't know what else to do...

Any suggestions to fight dry skin (back, legs). Its not "terrible" but it is itchy.
I tried putting baby oil on me after my shower but that was a real short solution.
Any suggestions for vitamins, shower gels or lotions would be great.

2 times in the past week I have woken up with blotches on my hands (similar to fake sun tan lotion, and it takes a few days to fade away). The nights before the only thing I can think of that could be the cause is the juice from honeydew (feeding my sugar gliders). It's the only thing I can figure that has dyed my hands overnight - is it possible?

For some reason I have dandruff from my left eyebrow only. Not my right eyebrow or my hair or even my facial hair. Has anyone ever heard of this and how do you treat a single eyebrow for this?

literally overnight, since i hadn't noticed it previously, the skin on my right earlobe suddenly became dry and scabby! i do have pierced ears but haven't worn earrings in quite some time, and it's more to the edge of the earlobe and continues to the back a little. when i touch it feels kinda scabby and it hurts a little (like extremely dry skin)... and the coloration is red and looks a bit raw! what can this be??!
