Use Aveeno bodywash and lotion. Also, take omega 3 oil to improve the overall look and feel of your skin. The Aveeno works well though and lasts all day.
Good luck!

I've been using Suave Advanced Therapy skin products for a couple of weeks now and the results are amazing. The soap moisturizes really well (I use a loofah sponge to apply so I can scrub off the itchy dead skin cells). Since it's winter, I follow up with the lotion as well. Other lotions I've used leave me itchy a few hours later, but this Suave stuff is great ~ works for 24 hours.
Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, which will also help keep the skin moist.

If you have Hypothyroid your skin will be more difficult to deal with. I used to have cracking & bleeding skin *ALL* over before I started treatment for thyroid. Now it is manageable.
Some people find taking an antihistamine year round helps with skin irritations & itchyness. 10mg Loratadine is very good for a daily treatment.
I was told by my dermatologist to use Cetephil soap & lotion. It helps in the summer but not enough in the winter. This is how I handle dry skin in the winter:
>Soak in moisturizing baths whenever possible. I like Aveeno & Vaseline Intensive Care. I also use an assortment of bath beeds & moisturizing bubble bath.
>Use a good salt based exfoliating scrub. Built up dead skin can encourage itching & cracking & acne.
>While still wet, slather on a good body oil. I prefer Neutrogena & Booths oils.
>Before bed, I like to get a good massage w/ a thick body lotion. I prefer Bath & Body Works (b/c I can coordinate scent) but it doesn't matter which one you use as long as you use it regularly. Leave the lotion on thick and wear a warm cotton pajama set.
>Don't neglect to change sheets regularly. You should change pillowcases at least every 4 days & sheets at least once a week.
Avoid using strong detergents in your laundry.
I use oil based soaps for general housekeeping (I like Murphy's Oil Soap) b/c it helps my dry skin.
If you must wash stuff by hand (IE dishes) wear gloves.
Keep a good lotion in your purse/pocket & use it.
Take Vitamin E oil orally & topically. Eat foods rich in Omega-3s (Fish) and Protein (Chicken).

Stay away from really hot showers and strong perfumy soaps and body washes. Try warm showers and apply the baby oil to your skin while you are in the shower. Just wash, rinse and apply oil then quick rinse and you should be good to go.
Use a really great moisterizer for itchy skin perhaps something like Gold Bond medicated lotion or even a powder.

Use moisturizing soap/shower gel during your shower or moisturizing lotion after you take a shower. Dove is a popular moisturizing soap and there are lots of lotion out there. For vitamins, try vitamin-enriched juice without additives. Some of them actually taste good and become out of stock before i get the chance to buy them.

I recommend Estee Lauders Hydra Complete
Multi-Level Moisture Creme For Dry Skin as it will not irritate skin and it moisturizes skin but doesn't sit on the skin and sinks in quickly. An other one is the body shop vitamin E night-time moisturiser used as a day time moisturiser.Good luck!

I swear by two products for very dry skin, Jergen's Ultra healing lotion. It is the best I have ever used and does not feel greasy. Also I love Burts Bees lotions. They just feel good.
Good luck.

drink water!!! Anything you put on your skin is only rehydrating dead skin cells and making them look alive again. You have to combat dry skin from inside and have lots of water in your system so your skin can stay moist.
