are out there makeit harder for me to breathe and I can't get any relief if an attack starts I just have to sit and try to relax and breathe slowly and as deeply as possible, anyone know of an inhaler or other thing that might help? Sitting unable to breathe is a very scary place to be ,you think ,feel and know that every breath is your last and it causes a panic situation in the mind... scary!!!!

My daughter, 3 going on 4 had been hospitalized a month ago for pnemonia. That was resolved, but it all started with what sounded like a croup cough. Now one month later she started the cough again.

I took her to the doc today, he said she had an ear infection and gave me antibiotics. But her cough is now like a croup cough. Should i go back to the albuterol like before? Cough syrup? What is safe, and how long should i wait before i see any results? HELP! She has no fever. She isnt wheezing.

I was wondering if it is from the mold, he sure thinks so. But that is probably because the mold is returning. He fears that it is growing in his lungs or something. He cleaned it with Comet and bleach if that might have anything to do with it. Help is appreciated.

A mother was given spinal anesthesia (Marcarine heavy 0.5 (Bupivacaine)) + fentanyl 25 mcg on a cesarean delivery and the babies were premature (less than 36 weeks). They were born on 15-FEB-2007 & today (15-April-2007) there age is 60 days. Can we give them Nalaxone (Narcan) to reduce the effect of opioids if we doubt that this has made them the respiratory depression. The babies (twins-non identical-female&Male) are facing a respiratory depression & they are on intubation. Will the Nalaxone help in removing the effect of the anesthesia overdoe ?

The past 2-3 weeks I had this sudden onset of confusion, dizziness, chest pains, shortness of breath. I went to the ER on Feb 6th and they diagonsed me with dyspnea. The EKG, chest x-ray, CBC tests, urine tests came back normal. I feel like they are missing something...I just started spitting up blood a few days ago and it seems to be worse when I wake up. It is not from my gums or anything inside my mouth. Could this be GERD-related? Should I go back to the ER?

for the past week, my husband has been complaining that he didn't feel good, and kept saying it was in his chest. He has had a very minor cough with it as well. This morning while brushing his teeth, he discovered his throat was bleeding! (and he has had his tonsils out, so we at least know its not that)

What could this illness be and how do I treat it?
(We have no insurance, so just going to the doctor is not an option)

I'm doing a project in my Biology class and I need to find out the different kinds of diseases that can harm a respiratory system. What would also be nice would be a list of diseases that only effect certain part of the respiraty system. If anyone knows of any, please inform me. I thank you all in advance!

Right!! Therefore foe 5 to 6 hours after smoking a joint you're not getting the oxeygen you so desperately need that your heart is having so much trouble getting already due to CHF. So when you smoke pot with CHF you are killing yourself and robbing a diseased heart of even more oxygen that it needs and causeing it further damage. Now you don't "GO OUT HIGH" You go out desperately struggling for a air and it is ugly and painfull and horrible. And the people that love you do care about your life and the people that don't love you sit back and take on the attitude of "What do i care? It's your life! Die how you want! When you want! You can lenghten your life with CHF if you do the right things or you can shorten it by doing the wrong things like smoking pot and not being able to breathe is a horrible way to go, don't you think? At the young age og 40 with 2 kids. What about them? Please only non pot smokers answer.

If Marilyn Manson can get an oxygen tank, then I should be able to get one. If any dancer or smoker can get one, how hard could it be?

I had a sore throat a few days ago. It has gone away but now I have a horrible sounding cough. It's worse at night when I lay down. It's like a tickle in my throat and when I cough it sounds HORRIBLE. It's a DEEP, ROUGH cough that doesn't produce anything really. It sounds terrible!!! I can't sleep because of the urge to cough all the time. Is this dry cough?? help!

First, I am a 25 year old male, very athletic. I work out about 4 days a week(well, prior to the difficulty taking deep breaths). I do not smoke. I have never had any breathing problems in the past.

For the last couple months, I have been having having difficulty taking deep breaths, almost daily. It is really uncomfortable. It's like I have to strain to take a deep breath, and even then it doesnt fix anything.

I did go to the doctor and had chest xrays. Xrays were fine. He gave me some allergy medicine in case it was that, which did not help. I also have tried xanex b/c it was suggested i may have anxiety, but xanex also has not helped. By the way, there is nothing stressful or anything like that going on in my life, so dont think it's anxiety.

If anyone can please help me, and tell me what I may have or how to fix it. Also is there ANYTHING around the house that I may all of the sudden become allergic to that would cause this? Im at a total loss here. Thanks!

I have the following symptoms: I have had upper respiratory problems all my life to varying degrees. Sometimes I will be feeling ok then rather suddenly I will have a pain in my chest, not heart related, my heart starts beating faster, I feel light headed or slightly dizzy, shakey ( sometimes ), feel like I can't breathe, get a slight head ache and sometimes a neck ache. and feel somewhat conjested. Do you have any idea what could be the cause of this? I had some of these symptoms only worse and went to the ER. They did cat scans, mri's, blood test, ekg's, etc and didn't give me a diagnosis, just said it wasn't heart related. Help!!!!
