My daughter, 3 going on 4 had been hospitalized a month ago for pnemonia. That was resolved, but it all started with what sounded like a croup cough. Now one month later she started the cough again.

I took her to the doc today, he said she had an ear infection and gave me antibiotics. But her cough is now like a croup cough. Should i go back to the albuterol like before? Cough syrup? What is safe, and how long should i wait before i see any results? HELP! She has no fever. She isnt wheezing.

You should not ask this questions on the Yahoo answers, Even if a doctor is giving you an advise, he don't know the history of the child. Go to your GP or the hospital your child was treated and let them examine the child again.

You can try some cough syrup but don't use the albuterol without first checking with your doc.

She's passing out all the dead cells from the lungs. Normal. Keep her warm, especially the chest, and feet/hands/head. but not sweating. it should likely pass soon. Give her some garlic in her Good, and a kids multi vitamin to build the body;s resistance. Humidify her room daytime and nighttime.
