I was wondering if it is from the mold, he sure thinks so. But that is probably because the mold is returning. He fears that it is growing in his lungs or something. He cleaned it with Comet and bleach if that might have anything to do with it. Help is appreciated.

Aspergillosis is an opportunistic infection caused by inhaled spores of the mold Aspergillus, which invade blood vessels, causing hemorrhagic necrosis and infarction. Symptoms may be those of asthma, pneumonia, sinusitis, or rapidly progressing systemic illness. Diagnosis is primarily clinical but may be aided by imaging studies, histopathology, and specimen staining and culture. Treatment is with voriconazole, amphotericin B (or its lipid formulations), caspofungin, itraconazole, or flucytosine. Fungus balls may require surgical resection. Recurrence is common.
Histoplasmosis is a pulmonary and hematogenous disease caused by Histoplasma capsulatum, often chronic and usually following an asymptomatic primary infection. Symptoms are either those of pneumonia or nonspecific chronic illness. Diagnosis is by chest x-ray and/or identification of the organism in sputum or tissue. Treatment is with amphotericin B or itraconazole.
Please see the web pages for more details on Aspergillosis and Histoplasmosis.

Try to determine what type of mold. There is a certain type of black mold that is different from the regular mildew we get. Also, he might be having a chemical burn to his lungs if he used a large amount of bleach in a unventilated room. Best to see the doc.

I don't know about these things but I just want to add to the number of people that are telling you to Go See A Doctor darlin' ! come on! do you really want to dilly dally and put off something HEART related? or if not heart related, CNS related?? too most central things to the body We all don't want to go to a doctor because of those lingering "oh-sh!t-what-if-theres-actually-somethi... wrong" thoughts but trust me when I say finding out about a problem when its too late is a lot worse, no?

you didn't mention whether or not your friend has any family history of CAD, his age, or general health. Chest pain is never something to play around with.
