This is the 8th week that I have had wheezing, shortness of breath, adventitious breath sounds. I went to the MD and got an albuterol neb, an inhaler, and antibiotics. Just finished the antibiotics on 12/15 and still have same physical complaints. Should I go back to the MD?

if a person attends a gathering and gets contact with second-hand smoke for 2 hours, how does that affect him. Will their lungs and body detxify itself. Is there a chart that states ie: 6 people smoke in a room, then you will be affected this specific way, and the body will detoxify itself by this way.
I read that Short exposures to secondhand smoke can cause blood platelets to become stickier, damage the lining of
blood vessels, decrease coronary flow velocity
reserves, and reduce heart rate variability,
potentially increasing the risk of a heart attack.

Secondhand smoke contains many chemicals that can
quickly irritate and damage the lining of the airways.
Even brief exposure can result in upper airway changes
in healthy persons and can lead to more frequent and
more asthma attacks in children who already have
asthma.
But what is considered brief exposure?

I started getting sick right before Thanksgiving. I had a sore throat for about a week and a half. I was feeling better, when I wake up on Thanksgiving and am running a fever and have all the symptoms of a sinus infection. So, I go to the doctor and they told me I have a sinus infection coupled with bronchitis. I finished the first round of antibiotics and felt ok for a couple days. Then, the symptoms came back, so the doctor gave me an inhaler and different antibiotcs. Again, I felt better, but before I was even finished with those antibiotics, I got sick again. This time, I'm running a very low fever of 99.4 every now and then, and the gland behind my left ear lobe is very rare to the touch and when I move my neck. I called the doctor and she just sent me some stronger antibiotcs. What I'm wondering is if this could be something more serious than a sinus infection and if I should go to another doctor or the emergency room?

Ive just been told my papa is having total bed rest after the doctor has told him he has a lung and urine infection. He'll be 78 in January and has never had any health issues. My ly concer has been the death of my Granny 2 years ago. They were married only 5 days less than 5 years. He seems to hve given up. How serious can these infections be? I am very worried. He is my only grand parent and he means the world to me. Is this easily shook off or can the infections really harm him?

My daughter has been sick with a bad cough since Thursday. On Saturday, her pediatrician diagnosed her cough as asthma related (because it runs in the family & its her 2nd time in less than 1 mnth w/similar trbl) . He prescribed symbicort inhaler. Sunday, my daughter woke up with fever 102 degrees. Pediatrician advised to take her to ER. Doctor in ER took xrays. He said she had a little inflammation in her bronchial area of lungs & he agreed with pediatrician asthma related & continue inhaler, take robitussin dm, & tylenol. Also her pulsox on Sat. was 95 & on Sunday 96. Today she's still coughing all the time. still has fever, and she is very pale. I'm so frustrated with the dr's not helping her. She has a recheck appointment scheduled for Friday, should I wait til then or should I take her back today?

It's a tightness/heaviness in my chest, but I don't think it's got anything to do with my lungs. I feel like I have to remind myself to breathe, otherwise I just don't, and I get light-headed, and it takes a great effort to take another breath. My doctor says it's stress, but that isn't exactly saying "take this and it will go away." Is it really stress?

Sometimes it takes me so long to catch my breathe. I can't even breathe under the covers. When I walk up the stairs or run I seem to have a really hard time getting my breath back.

I am not one who ever gets sick but I have been sick 4 times this year this was earlier in the year. went to the Dr she gave me z pak 5 days of antibiotics my symptoms were: major sinus drainage, sore throat, blowing early in the morning(green thick)sorry but that is one of the symptoms) then thick creamy to clear,a small caugh begin then turned into a cough from h*** that was so bad I turned red in the face, loss of breath & coughed so hard my tummy ,sides were sore.
got sick again 2 more times not quiet as bad but the last time I went to the dr was about 3 weeks ago she gave me z pak again with a side order of robutusson with codine for caugh.i was getting better & only had a mild caugh & then one night I begin getting "the cough" & it since has bloomed into a much bigger cough, stopped up nose,a little hard to breath from the chest.
Do I need an immume booster do i have a touch of penumonia is there anything i can buy over the counter
