Do not consume alcohol while taking antibiotics. The alcohol tends to neutralize the antibiotic which is what you don't want.

you don't want to drink alcohol when you are taking any type of antibiotic, you can reduce the effectiveness of the drug... it is only a week or so, just step back from alcohol for a little while...
