well. if you're hard core vegetarian.. then my eat ice cream technique won't work since that would be dairy.. purchase a dehumidifier, honey, lemons, and some good herbal tea.. always seems to do the trick with me..

Here is one I found online , sounds horrible but it does work.
Hot water, Cayenne pepper (not tooo much), a little lemon and if you like some ginger. Mix it up.. let it sit for a bit... then when it cools down to warm. Gargle for 10-30 seconds several times. Do this a few times a day.
Apparently the Cayenne helps simulates blood flow to the area, and can release endorphines. The lemon and ginger help kill bacteria. Something like that.
But is does work. At work I was presenting up to 40 hrs a week (talking) and got sores in my throat. Worked well. After 1 day 70% better, 2 days 90%

An easy treatment that you can do at home that does not violate your vegetarian diet is to make a warm water and table salt gargle and gargle with it. It won't take all the pain away immediately, but it will make it less painful.
Choraseptic spray doesn't have animal matter in it (to the best of my knowledge), but if you are hurting that badly, would it really kill you to use it a time or two?
Schedule yourself a doctor visit...you could have something nasty going on (strep throat).

Do you have a cold as well? Im not sure if it will be better for monday but buckleys helps with that. And/or halls. If its just sore and your throat is red, you may want to get it check out in case its strep throat. And drink plenty of water, no high acid drinks! stick with water. Hope that helps a little bit.

Mix water with Hydrogen peroxide, 50/50. And gargle it 3 or 4 times today. Tomorrow you will be better. If sinus drainage is the cause, take 600 mg of guaifenesin twice a day with lots of water.
Good luck
