I just got over Bronchitis about 6 weeks ago. It was rough and felt like I was hacking up a lung. To this day whenever I take a deep breath or yawn I have an uncontrollable urge to cough. it happens about 2 or three times a day. When it happens it feels like the lining inside of my throat is cracking. Other than that the throat is fine. It is not sore or anything. I can eat and drink just fine. I figure my lungs are ok too as I can run a mile or two and breath just fine. anybody out there know if this is just a normal symptom of bronchitis recovery.

I am 32 years old and have been having chest pains forever, atleast 9 months or longer but they seem to be getting worse and is accompanied by severe nausea, shortness of breath, pain on the left side, and around to the back. I have told my doc about this so many times and he just keeps telling me its anxiety but it is really starting, well has been, to scare me! Do you think this sounds like a heart attack? It's worse after I eat and I have noticed if I drink caffeine it makes it worse so that is cut out! Please let me know what you think. By the way I don't smoke or drink.

Today was my first day in college. I couldn't help but notice all the smokers on campus.

Why do so many college kids smoke cigarettes? Plus, how do you feel about college kids smoking?

Headaches throughout the day
Sore throat, but mainly on the left side, at the back with white "stuff"
Extremely tired, even after full nights sleep

My doctor said that in 2005 my hemoglobin was high and now it is borderline. What would cause that & how do you correct it. I am not a smoker & I quit 15 years ago & I am not around smokers. She told me that you find that in smokers.

Does braking when driving release asbestos? I am just curious. You would think that if it did, than these brakes would be banned. I had to hard brake last night when I had the windows down and is there any risk of asbestos exposure to it?

I have multiple sclerosis, I work at the hospital the ambulance took me to. All they did was a drug test(NEGATIVE) and a CT scan. Everything was normal. But my eyes are puffy, I can't see very well, and I am exhausted. PLEASE PLEASE help me. My neurologist won't do the MRI that was suggested, and my hospital does not have MRI equipment and facilities. I am scared to go back to work, what if I just fall like I did before or become paralyzed on one side again? Did I mention that I am also very dizzy and my body feels very heavy. I have a headache that comes and goes, but maybe that is from the stress. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE . I usually enjoy humor, but I am very scared right now. Thank you in advance,

Before when it used to be infected, i used to take antibiotics until they were no longer effective. I switched to forever living aloe activator which i drip directly into my nostrils whenever i feel my sinus acting up or starting to be infected. Although it would seldom be seriously infected the last 2 years since i used the aloe activator, the pressure around my eyeballs gives me headaches. I am 54 yrs old, i don't smoke, i am physically fit thru jogging, working out and careful food intake. What should i do to to prevent my sinuses from being infected? is there a way to strengthen my body to be able to resist infection? Our house has a minimum of dust and i dont work or jog in a dusty environment. I would appreciate all the advice i can get.

We were told that my grandmother wouldn't live for longer than a few weeks if we didn't agree to a feeding tube (which we didn't) She went through a period of a few days without eating and drinking and ran a high fever about a week ago. We were prepared for the worst. On the third day she began to come out of the fever and started drinking like crazy. I gave her 7 sodas and 3 cups of water that night. The following day the Dr. told us that she had asperating pnemonia. This has been about a week ago. Can anyone help me understand whats going on? I can't help but feel like all the drinking was my fault and I question how long she can live with this condition.

Someone told me that after coughing, your lungs open up even more and you can actually get a bigger deeper hit. Is that true?

I understand that the tuberculosis test is a test for TB antibodies, using a small amount of TB antigen. My question is, if you get too many TB tests, will your body eventually make antibodies for the antigen, causing a positive test result?

I have exercised-induces and allergy-induced asthma, and it's a real problem for me. I have tried every inhaler and asthma-preventative there is, but they don't work for me. I am allergic to a lot, things like grass, pollen, ragweed, trees, dust, mold, etc., and whenever someone is cutting the grass or, if I'm just running around outside a lot, I get an asthma attack than cannot be stopped by my inhaler. I get two allergy shots a week, which will help, but it may take a couple years before I get results. I really want to play field hockey again this year, but last year I had a lot of problems. What should I do?
