I just found out that I have hyperthyroidism and my throat is very sore, why is that?

with hyperthyroidism your thyroid gland is overstimulated and it causes it to become inflamed, usually know as a goitre. as you probably know the thyroid gland is located in the throat just by the adams apple

My sister was diagnosed with this and from what she says it is a genetic disease that can kill if not treated. The thyroid is in her neck also and she has to take medicine for it and eat right. You should have your doctor give you some pamphlets on this subject.
