I am allergic to cats and particularly my daughter's exotic cat, Harvey. I get itchy and sneezing, runny sinuses and have harder time breathing in her trailer because of that cat as near as I can figure! One time I fell asleep on her couch and the cat jumped over my head and a hair was deposited in my eye, that swole it up and ached it until I spent a great deal of diligence removing that hair from my eye with lots of soap and water flushing. My daughter has been diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer, mestastisized to her lungs. She does not make any connection to the allergies of the cat. She can hardly breathe unless she uses lots of medications. She does get the sneezing
and choking over and over, but she is so numb to her predicament that she refuses to listen to me about the dangers of that cat in her trailer. I realize that not everyone is allergic to cats. Why would she choose to keep such an animal when she is having so much trouble breathing?

So lately my dad has been having trouble breathing. Doenst happen all the time. But they did all the tests on him, shot iodine in him and looked in his chest and stuff like that, and they still cant find anything wrong. They simply just say its asthma. He had asthma when he was younger...Tonight he developed this weird cramping in the back left side of his neck, and it shot upward into his head. We called 911 because he looked in bad pain, but after like a minute, it was gone. Completely just dissapeared. Were on edge because of everything he is experiencing. Could it have just been a cramp in the neck or what? He does overexagerate at times, so we dont really know exactly how severe some things are. Should we be worried about something?

I smoked almost 10 years ..almost every day & was able to put them down like that. No hypnosis, Zyban, patches or gum. I also didn't turn into a porker. If anything I lost more weight. Same with coffee & liquor which I rarely touch either.

i have a friend that has been ill first with vomiting for months then seizures and all sorts of nerve damage as well as other health problems. i didnt know anyone could be as sick as she. her husband took total care of her as she lay ill. she has left her husband about a month ago. since they have been apart her energy has come back gradually, she no longer vomits her last seizure was one week after leaving him. we are very suspicious because his first wife died mysteriously with no autopsy. she is gong to the doctor soon to get some lab tests done to see if she was poisoned. does anyone know how long a poison can be detected. or is it too late since she left him a month ago. please i need some advice. her appointment is a few days from now and labs take a while sometimes. i know she has to wait for the results but i need some expert advice.

Ok so I had a lung biopsy on the 16th of July and a chest tube the chest tube was taken out on the 17th and I was discharged on the 17th then readmitted on the 18th because I couldnt breathe, a week later I developed a pneumothorax and had to have a chest tube put in again, that was in for a week then I was discharged for a week but came back with a collapsed lung this time. My question is after the surgery the part underneath my boob between where the cleavage is is numb, my doctor said that some nerve endings where probably hit and they would eventually go back to normal but it's been a month now already. Is this normal? If you have no experience with this then please don't waste my time

This person in my family has had history of this, as well as other symptoms, on and off, for couple of years now. We've noticed that when urine starts to get very, very dark, and/or oily_in a way that resembles gasoline in water_we put up our guard and try for her not to dehydrate. As well as watch her breathing, since she's 24 hours on a concentrator for her COPD and CHF, and the urine episode comes accompanied by the breathing problems.

Having thouroughly explained and asked her doctors during these years they have never come up with a simple solution. Instead a complex one is given. And I have to say that I've learned a bit more about many of her problems through respiratory technicians and nurses!!!

Why the oily urine?

I've been having these symptoms for months ...coughing,night sweats, chills, body aches, back aches, less eating, lost 12 lbs in 2 mths without trying.I thought it was because of menopause, drinking more water and exercise.Today I found out that my friend who I see often, kiss hello, eat, talk & laugh with has active tb and had it for 1 year.I work in a school yearround, my mom has a lung disease already. Could I have spread this to all the people I've been in contact with? I'm really scared. I will be tested in 5 days when my Dr. returns from vacation.

ehhh.
I've had whooping cough before, once last year.
And lately in the past couple days, I've been coughing up a storm, and I remember that happening with the whoop, so, I was wondering, any one know if I can catch it twice?

I hate even talking about this. I'm prepared to go back to my doctor soon. I'm already on nose sprays that are not working. Anyway, here's my problem. Forgive me if it sounds disgusting.

For the past 3 years, Yes 3 years I have suffered with the left side of my nose constantly feeling stopped up. No matter how hard I blow most of the time nothing comes out. If anything does come out it is always clear, thick and almost like slime ( the kind you buy the kids to play with) It holds it form really well. Almost like it doesn't want to breakdown. It's always clear and very thick also. I am constantly clearing my throat as well. I bet I do it over 200 times a day.

On rare occasions I can get some to come out by blowing, but within minutes I feel like there is something in my nose again. Someone suggested I try musinex. I'm just curious as to what this may be. Last year I blew really hard and was freaked out by what came out of my nose. It was a glob the size of a half dollar. HELP!!
