Went in today (just to prove that I was ill), but had to come home early - could hardly stay awake at my desk! Can someone please give me some sympathy as I'm getting none from my husband and three sons?

You need to see a doctor not get sympathy. Sore throats that last a week and excess lethargy aka tiredness need to be checked out by the doc. Get off the computer and get in to see the doc to find out what is wrong.

not getting caring and concern from your family sucks, I know. I did something about it, and it worked for me. The last time I was sick and no one seemed to care, I left home. I actually got an inexpensive motel room, and stayed there for a week. I got the rest I needed, pampered myself and just let the hubby and kids fend for themselves. When I got better and went home, they were very much more solicitous, seems they missed the major cook and bottle washer!! Of course I told hubby where I would be and took my cel phone along, but I insisted he text me and not call me.
