Today was my first day in college. I couldn't help but notice all the smokers on campus.
Why do so many college kids smoke cigarettes? Plus, how do you feel about college kids smoking?

They do it because they think it's cool... college kids (not too long ago I was one... not too long ago is what I keep telling myself, hehe) are caught up in all that.

At my college, UC Davis, hardly anyone smoked. Maybe because it's California, or maybe because it's overall a healthy campus with more bikes than people, or maybe so many people were pre-med or pre-health. I don't know about your campus, but maybe there are a lot of foreign students from places with higher smoking rates (like China).
In general, I think most students who smoke started as a teen and got hooked. I know of exactly 2 people who started smoking during college years, seemingly to self medicate against depression.

In California not too many college kids smoke now. But there are always a few, who think they're not subject to the consequences.
You'd think that the brain trust would be smart enough not to get hooked on tobacco, but at least you can be.

i've got self belief which you merely replied your man or woman question, the media and individuals in capacity want you to have self belief that throughout basic terms low lifes use pot yet many enterprise vendors and tricky working people use it, hell the final 2 presidents admitted to attempting it and our own Olympic champ does it. the individuals who're prosperous now might lose their businesses if hemp grow to be legalized so as that they are tricky at paintings on a smear marketing campaign to maintain people questioning that that's risky

Many smoke because they can't at home, or because they give in to peer pressue. I don't like it when people smoke around me. I want clean air, so I try not be around people when they are smoking. They can do what they want, doesn't mean I have to like it.

I don't know, but I used to have a sign up in my office that said "If you are smoking, we will assume you are on FIRE, and take appropriate action." Depicted was a cartoon character holding a fire hose. Come to think of it, I wish I knew whatever became of that sign.

the reason is most probably the price ! youngsters will think is a high class things to do now.
