Ive got terrible tonsilitis and the doctor gave me anti-biotics but it actually has got worse- they have swelled up even more and I can hardly breathe.
Is it possible to somehow drain my tonsils so they arent as swollen?
Also can I demand a tonsillectomy.as I get tonsilitis at least twice a year and it knocks me for six. At the moment Ive been ill for 2 weeks and still no sign of it getting better.

I run cross country and have these symptoms during almost evry race. At first I thought it was because I was working hard, but now I'm not so sure, since I have never observed others doing this.

Hi, I'm trying to be a CNA in NHC here in TN.
However, i got this TB skin test and after 3 days, my instructor told me that I'm positive. I said.... How can I be positive if I'm not even coughing at all?
then she told me it's probably because I'm exposed to bacterias of TB.
Then she told me to go to a doctor (where it's all free of charge; meds,x-ray). but X-ray is negative.

Will I have a complication if I drink the meds? I'm 18 yrs old though.

And the most important question is.......

Can I go back to school again? even though I'm taking those meds but negative on TB from the X-ray?

if not.... then how would I be able to have my career started?

I have chronic sinus disease and no medical insurance. This year has been the worse for me. I went to the doctor back in sept. for an infection but ever since then I have had dizziness, I finally went back and she said I had fluid in my ears and put me on an antibotic, vermist spray, and a steriroid to reduce inflamation. I do feel tons better but the dizziness bothers me and just hinders me in everyday activities. I am hoping a freeze comes soon! Is there anything I can do to reduce or stop the dizziness? I take meclazine but it doesn't help much.
Oh, I also take singular and claritin. I don't do well with decongestints. Any suggestions?

It seems whenever I get sick it lasts for a month! No one else appears to have colds that long! It feels like I'm sick all the time since they last so long. Cough, sore throat, runny nose. I do work at a elementary school, but it's my second year, shouldn't I start to be immune?
I take vitamins and I'm pretty healthy, don't smoke.

I live in the top level of a three story apartment building. I have been dead tired and unable to sleep, this is also the case with my girlfriend and roommate. Is it possible that someone below or beside me is doing something illegal in their unit. Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing. If so please give suggestions or the name of an organization that could help me find out. Thank You.

This only happens when he sleeps on his back. Sometimes I would have to move him to his side so he'll breathe normally. He can stop breathing from 5 sec to 30 sec (from what I witnessed). He probably can stop breathing for longer if I'm not there to shake him or move him. Is this sleep apnea? How can we change his breathing habits?

I was recently diagnosed with asthma, and to me it seems pretty bad! Is it normal to have pretty constant attacks, and to need the inhaler almost once every hour? I also wake up about 4 times a night needing it. Its extremely restricting and ANNOYING. Does anyone with asthma know if this is pretty normal? I'm trying to decide if I should go back to the doctor or if I just need to get used to this.

The diarrhea comes several times a day although I sleep well. I have lomotil..helps but not a cure. Is there anything to lessen this side effect since I have to take it for 10 days and the previous antibiotic (5 days) caused same problem. Diarrhea is not a common problem for me. I am female age 60. I also take Cymbalta and had melanoma level 3 removed from my arm approx 4 mos ago.

For the last five days or so I've been coughing and constantly having to spit every so often. Over the last two days whenever I lie down to go to sleep I start coughing and having to spit uncontrollably every few minutes, which keeps me awake. In the morning I usually end up coughing out thick green mucus.

I went to see a doctor who said it was a virus infection and recommended Diamatap to stop the coughing, but I don't like to take medicine unless I really have to so that my body doesn't build resistance to the medicine for the future.

Is there anything else I can do to help me not cough at night. How long do you think it'll take to get better? With the exception of the coughing and spitting I feel fine everywhere else.

My son has had a cough for the past couple nights. Non productive and dry. This afternoon, he started sounding congested, and in the past couple hours his voice has become sort of hoarse.. He sounds like he needs to clear his throat, but when he tries, his throat sounds reallly dry, so I am guessing it is just congested. Does these symptoms sound like a cold to you?? There is also no sign of a fever. I will make him an appoitment on Monday if he does not get better, but for the time being, I have been treating him with over the counter products. Also he is three years old.

say "I know I know I need to quit" and blah blah blah. And I'm getting tired of her having these coughing fits (she's been having them for years now) She saw my grandmother (her own mother) die of emphysema from smoking, yet this is not enough to make her stop. She has patches and Nicorette gum sitting in the cabinet. I brought up how nasty it smelled in the living room (she smokes in the house) the other day, and she didn't answer me. She was mad that I brought it up. For some reason when you bring up her quitting smoking, she gets an attitude and tunes you out. Does she not realize it's affecting me my brother, sister, and my dad (he has been complaining a lot lately about the house smelling like a giant ashtray). Question: How in the world do you get through to a person, or get a point across when they won't listen to you or take your advice?
