I have chronic sinus disease and no medical insurance. This year has been the worse for me. I went to the doctor back in sept. for an infection but ever since then I have had dizziness, I finally went back and she said I had fluid in my ears and put me on an antibotic, vermist spray, and a steriroid to reduce inflamation. I do feel tons better but the dizziness bothers me and just hinders me in everyday activities. I am hoping a freeze comes soon! Is there anything I can do to reduce or stop the dizziness? I take meclazine but it doesn't help much.
Oh, I also take singular and claritin. I don't do well with decongestints. Any suggestions?

Try drinking water and hot tea: One sign of dehydration is vertigo, and you have been perfectly miserable. Which means you might not feel like eating much.

If you like hot spicy foods, indulge yourself: Hopefully you will need fewer decongestants, and a lot of nasty germs really don't like the stuff that makes hot peppers hot.

Also, have your ears looked at again, in case something is still wrong there.

Good luck!

I too have chronic sinusitis, take Allegra and use Flonase nasal spray. I can't take decongestants either as they give me an attitude problem. My allergist prescribed TOURO LA. This is a pediatric strength expectorant. I take it twice a day or as needed, usually once in the morning, and it just keeps everything in the nose and ears draining. I suffer from vertigo as well but have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and also have neck problems so sometimes inflammation in the neck muscles makes me dizzy. A problem with poor circulation to the brain. The dizziness should go away once the fluid drains out or dries up. If you're into it, I've started doing Tai Chi as a way to exercise for the dizziness. It helps you retrain your brain in the ways of balance. Meclazine is meant for motion sickness. They gave it to me too for the vertigo, but it really just knocks you out. Have your blood pressure checked, you can do it yourself at CVS for a couple of weeks keeping track of the numbers. Then when you do see a Dr. you'll have a history of data to give to him. Keep up with the steroids and antibiotic and you should be fine shortly. It's scary I know, but it will get better.

I feel for you because I had this happen two times to me and they still can't explain why it happens. They thought stress, low blood pressure and ear infections. I had a $500 treatment done to remove the "ear rocks" they said were cause my dizziness and then 6 months later I had another spell. I was told not to use meclizine cause it won't help, it is for motion sickness cause by an outside source not internal. I missed work because i couldn't drive, I felt like i was drunk all the time. My spells last about a week and I think they have to do with allergies. I try to keep up on my allergy pills and don't let myself get congested because I think the pressure effects my ears and then my equilibruim gets off. Good luck

Go see a doctor of chiropractic. Balance problems and sinus problems can be caused by subluxation. Go get yourself checked.
