I have Sinusitis sometimes, and I am on anti-biotics.

I heard that in rare cases, acute Sinusitis can cause brain infection. :( I'm scared..

How likely is it that a 13 year old with Sinusitis for this to occur?

And if it does happen, does it only happen when it's left untreated [ without anti-biotics ]

Please answer.. i'm upset and terrified!

I remember when I had pneumonia when I was 16, the doctor said I had asthma. But, Ive been playing basketball, running and working out 3 times a week for about 7 years and never had an asthma attack. I’m 24 now and I never had any kind of symptoms of Asthma in my life. Was the Dr. wrong?

I have had a reaccurrace of my asthma after several years, I had to take a course of prednisone to help with the wheezing. While I was taking it I felt great, now that I have stopped I am wheezing terribly again and don't feel good at all, anyone know why this may be happening?

On Christmas day I went to A+E as I was havinf chest pains like a bruise over my heart area that sometimes spread into the right side and into the middle of my chest my arms were also feeling achy, after a while I was told I might have acid reflux and my hear rate was 99 after being given some heartburn medicine it went down and the Dr was pleased and let me go home, thing is Im not sure if I have acid reflux as the kind of pain is not a burning pain its like a deep bruise all over my chest and sometimes feels tight I also have this feeling that I just want to sleep and feel lathagric and I have a really bad cold but Im not coughing and I was wondering if I could have a chest infection I am taking anti-acids and they only help a tiny bit I was wondering if I would be coughing if I had a chest infection and if heart burn does feel like a brusing all over the chest I feel like Ive been in a fight or something, maybe Im just run down I am going to see the Dr soon would just like some adv

I just got back from a week long cruise to central america and I had about 15 small cigars (cigarillos) and 5 medium sized ones. I was wondering if this can cause laryngitis to flare up because the past couple days now I've had a pretty soar throat and it's hard to talk. I never had laryngitis until I got it from a cold I had a few months ago, so I guess now maybe I'm more prone to it. I don't think I'm sick with a cold because I have no achiness or fever or any other cold symptoms.

Can anyone help me, my husband of only six months has a terrible habit of snoring, when I say snoring he sounds like Darth Vader with a severe cold...he doesn`t like me not sleeping in the same bed as him, he has bought me ear plugs...very kind of him...and tells me I`ve basically got to live with it...apart from the obvious of leaving or smothering him, does anyone have any practical suggestions please.

My friend has a problem with her live-in boyfriend--he snores at 6 point Richter scale! He has tried a nasal strip (don't know what brand) and tried sleeping on his side, stomach....no dice.

Someone suggested surgery for sleep apnia, but I am trying to see if someone out there was lucky without having to go through surgery, or if there is a particular kind of device that works.

I had a question that maybe I could some feedback on..My niece who is 10 had a cold the week of 19th. She went to the doctor right away, and he confirmed it was just a cold. She was congested for a few days and coughing, and then it stopped for 3 days. For the past two days, she has been coughing alot, but no runny nose, no congestion, just dry coughing. I do not think it is broncitis because she is not weezing...I listen to her chest and listen to her lungs in the back and all is clear...what else could it be. Please only answer if you are serious. I will take her to the doctors tomorrow since everything is closed today. Should I wait till tomorrow or take her to hospital today where she could catch something worse...No fever either.... any advise?
