Snoring represents some type of airway disturbance. Positioning of the neck can change things while sleeping. However, a sleep doctor can also check the throat for anatomical defects.
The Breathe Right strips may work also.
If there is no physical impairment or apnea going on, a good set of earplugs are an affordable option.

The first thing is to see a doc to rule out a physical cause for your snoring since it can often be a sign of something wrong like sleep apnea. After the doc rules out any physical cause he will be able to help you with suggestions regarding your snoring.

1. Get ear plugs for your partner.

2. Get a sleep study for yourself to find out if there are other problems related to your snoring, such as sleep apnea.

3. Ask your dentist about an anti-snoring appliance.

Pending that there is nothing physically wrong (sleep apnea, enlarged adenoids, etc),the new "Breathe Right Strips" are AWESOME! They even help you breathe better if you have a cold. Try them! They are $10 per box, but worth it!

My son-in-law had that problem, he saw his doctor and now has a cpap machine and sleeps like a baby along with the rest of the household. My daughter is so glad I told him to see his doctor. Everyone is rested.
