My son is 4 months old. When he was 2 days old he had 3 seizures all about 7 hours about. They said he was dehydrated and had low calcium. He spent 10 days in the NICU getting calcium supplements and being on Phenobarbatol. All the scans came back normal. He has an CT, MRI, EKG, Spinal tap, and tons of blood work. At one point his Parathyroid hormone level was at 256, they checked it a few days later and it was 14 so they thought the 256 was a fluke. Once he was a couple months old we noticed his eyes were alwasy moving, rapid eye movement in all directions. He also couldnt focus on anything. His nuerologist thought he was blind so he sent us to a opthamologist. He said he was not blind and his eyes are fine and that he may be crossed eyed. so by 3 months he was off the phenobarbatol and they were weaning him off the calcium. On July 26th his Fontanelle (soft spot) on top of his head was bulging. I was told to take him to the ER The did another CT, and MRI and found no fluid, no tumor.

Ok so, I'm 22 years old. About a year and half ago, while doing nothing significant I randomly got a "spot" of blueish color in my vision, it covered approximately 1/10th of my total field of vision. It lasted for 15 minutes and then went away. Nothing happened for about 5 months, then it happened again, just recently within the past month it happened again and lasted 20 or so minutes.

My eyes seem more sensitive and sometimes when I'm looking at something they clorors change, for example the white on my LCD monitor will turn to a light brown for very short periods of time.

The doctor said I was suffering from migraine headaches, (even though I don't have an actual headache)... I think he's wrong.

Does anyone know what this could be?

I know organic milk companies say that they don't add hormones to their milk but what about hormones from pregnant cows. If the milk is still from pregnant cows, won't I still be getting estrogen? Is there any other alternative.

I have an eye sty and orientation is soon and school. Is it possible that it can get so bad, I could go into Surgery? Is it true it is caused by stress? It would make sense because i started feeling pain in my eye when i came home from a vacation to a house of responsibility and frustration. Also, what are some things i could do to help it go away, or even voodo things, like my mom said if i swiped a bunch of my hair on it 9 times across in the morning before i got out of bed, it would go away, my aunt had it and said that worked, but my eye still hurts right now. Here are my questions just incase i confused you-
1. Is it possible to get surgery?
2. Does the Hair swipe 9 times across it help?
3. What are other things that could make it go away?
4. Is it possible that coming home from my vacation to a house of responsibility would have caused it?

Thank you so much!

Yesterday morning I woke up and had a red mark on my neck, as the day progressed it got bigger and went up behind my ears and my face looks like I have sun burn and am very hot.

This freaked me out so I went to the docs this morn and after just looking at me he said I have something called "strep throat" and gave me some penicillin.
The thing is my throat doesn't hurt. Feels like I have a bit of a lump in it but that's it.

I did a bit of research on the net and nowhere seems to mention the redness...Does anyone know if this is actually a sympton of strep throat?

I feel totally drained and burning up!

My father has just been told he has a low blood count, it should be 12 when it is only 8. He is to have tests done, Chest Xray and then other tests that he has not been informed off yet. His body has already had problems because of this last week his blood pressure dropped so dramatically that his body went into shock. He looked like he was having a stroke or something. he has been told it could happen again at any time.

What could be wrong, and how can he have a low blood count when he has not lost any blood.

Please help we are all extremely concerned.

I recently found out I have Hashimotos and have been taking Levothyroxin for about 3 weeks. The doctor prescribed me Synthroid but when the pharmacist asked if I would like generic and said it was the same thing.... I said sure and got the generic. Now I am wondering if there is a difference. I will pay the extra for the better meds but I don't want to be pulled in by a brand name if it is the same thing. In your experience... does it matter if it is the generic or name brand?

2. My Adam's Apple is about 2x the size of the average male's and I don't have an extremely skinny neck.
3. Two small lumps (under my skin, feel like lymph notes) have formed under my chin and are always visible.
4. My lymph notes are ALWAYS swollen.
5. When bending my neck back it feels like I'm lifting weights and the strain is directly under my Adam's Apple.
6. It's hard for me to touch my chin to my chest.
7. It feels like I'm lifting a weight when I swallow and sometimes at the end of the day my neck will be sore (especially directly under my adam's apple).
8. Half the time my adam's apple and directly under it hurts.
9. Sometimes my adam's apple will spasm and move violently up and down against my will.
10. Light pressure against my neck (even a hug) can make my adam's apple and under it hurt for a long time.

Also, is the thyroid test a simple blood test? Could a naturepath doc help me?

Alright, so this is my third stye this week. And there might be another one forming as well. I was wondering why I get so many. I have been getting A LOT this year, and I don't know why. I mean, I am fourteen. I do not wear makeup at all, I was my face twice a day, and I don't put my hands near my eyes or on my face. My styes are not that bad, and usually go away in a day, but this one I have is pretty narley, and it doesn't seem like its going away any time soon. Is it just bad luck? Or do I have some eye problems?

treatment being the focal point of the community? If a given amount of people with OCD in a given area donates money over an extended period of time to build this community and hospital (who's main purpose is routine brain scanning to determine if certain medications are doing the job or not without waiting 3 weeks to find out. A school for sufferers and people determined to find a cure alike can attend to develop new ways of thinking about the disorder. Who else but a sufferer would want to find a cure more? I feel fed up with therapy and pills that make me sick. I want to actually look in my brain and see whats going wrong, but I can't afford it. All of us with OCD should try to take matters in our own hands a little and build a place where we definately won't feel alone. The continual money we put into it would definately keep it running and I'm sure help a ton of people. I'm going to start putting money away for it. What do you guys think?

I have noticed a lot of mucus in my stools. Also, I am having issues with needing to urinate VERY frequently and a feeling of 'fullness' in my bladder/rectal area all the time. I am 39 years, female. I am a little concerned about a tumor in that area causing both problems. What doctor should I see?

I don't want to go to a family physician and *then* to a specialist because I have to pay the bills myself (we only have catastrophic insurance) so going to numerous doctors gets very costly. I'd like to pick the best type of doctor right off the bat and go see that type first, to help keep my out of pocket costs down.

Do I go see a Urologist? or a Colorectal Specialist? Or an OB/GYN? Which one is best suited for these symptoms?
