There are three liver enzymes-
SGOT
SGPT
Alkaline Phosphatase
SGOT & SGPT are high in liver disorders like Viral Hepatitis (A,B or C) or liver failure due to poisons/diseases affecting multiple organs.
Serum Alkaline Phosphatase is indicator of obstruction to the flow of bile. It is raised in CBD gallstones or cancer head of pancreas.
These may be high due to some other causes too. Therefore it needs correlation with the condition of the patient.

It means that your liver is not functioning at optimal capacity. Often times, if a person is very overweight or has been a heavy drinker or has taken a lot of medications, those factors can make the liver enzymes high. If you know that your enzymes are high, chances are you've already been to a doctor, who is aware of this. I would talk to your doctor to see what steps are necessary in order to bring your enzymes down to a healthy range.

you must mean liver enzymes.....when your liver enzymes are high it means that your liver is being damaged....If you are taking cholesterol medication, drink heavily, or take any other medications, this could be a cause of it......talk with your doctor about it.....if you don't like the answer or don't understand what they say, ask them to explain it. If they won't, find a doctor who will....good luck and God bless.
