It is claimed by a Bangalore based radiologist that he can cure osteoarthritis by using a new technology (Rotational Field Quantum Magnetic Resonance (RFQMR) technology) invented by him.

He claims that "this device focuses RFQMR beams on the affected joint. The beams alter the dynamics of the cell to activate and regenerate. This leads to stimulation of cartilage growth in case of degenerative diseases like osteoarthritis. The process of regeneration of tissues enhances mobility and improves the quality of life. The treatment is painless, safe and scientifically proven through successful clinical trials involving more than 500 cases over the span of three years." (See his website http://www.sbfhealthcare.com/index.html for details). Is it correct or is it yet another quackery?

They did a cat scan, and found nothing wrong with my appendix, my ovary, and the kidney (although he did say the cat scan may have missed a kidney stone but that was only a slim chance). All of my tests also came back negative. Any ideas? How do I tell if it is just a pulled muscle? I can't even breathe without pain!!!

What would happen if a person with diabetes insipidus were to drink alcohol, like around 5-6 drinks. Would it be extremely unhealthy or perhaps even fatal for them, or would it probably just make them feel crappy for a day or two? Thanks!

There is something wrong with my left eye.
I went to the eye doctor and he said nothing is wrong, but I know there is- I can phsyically feel it / see it.
I don't think it's a lazy eye. Some days it seems to protrude more than my right, then some days it seems to be 'in' more than my right. (This is not my right eye that is doing this, I'm sure of it)
I can also feel it touching my eyelid- is it catching?
Also, it moves a little differently than my right, sometimes giving the apearence that it crosses, or is not looking in the same direction as my right.
I've always had a slight 'squint' to this eye, but it seems to be getting worse. Should I make another apointment with the eye doctor?
((Also last but not least, when I close my right and look just out my left- it's almost as though there is a small shadow? Like a fuzzy-visioned circle around my eye. And I cannot look as far to the sides as I can with my right eye. Is this serious? Please let me know- thank you!!

I went in for a physical August 10, and since then I have been back to the doctor 3 times for followup bloodwork because it turns out I have high conjugated bilirubin levels. I feel completely fine, and tests for mono and hepatitis came back negative. I do not have Gilbert's Syndrome, as they originally thought. However, I am getting a liver ultrasound tomorrow and was wondering what they are looking for and what could possibly be wrong with me?

So about 4-5 months ago I was diagnosed with an Adjustment Disorder(combo of depression and anxiety) and abandonement issues. I then started attending congitive therapy weekly for an hour. I'm still in therapy but today I talked to my therapist on the phone today and she told my that I am more depressed than she initially thought. She recommended that I see a doctor to see if antidepressents would be right for me. I gave her the okay to schedule an appointment or whatever.

I'm not looking for a cure in antidepressants. I know they won't solve my all my problems. I also know it might take a while to find the right one and that there are going to be symptoms in the beginning.

I was just wondering if it changes you? Will you seem like a different person to other people? Does it make you lose you appetite because I already have a problem with that. Does it make you not concentrate? Can it help me want to get out of the house and be around people. BTW I'm only 16.

A couple of days ago I had a pretty bad accident where a couch fell on me down some stairs. I ended up getting some "slices" on my arms and legs, which ended up getting me a tetanus shot in my shoulder. Today there are still bruises coming on my arms. I feel like I have the flu, extremely tired, hot, achy, just bad in general. Is this a side effect of the tetanus shot? Or is it tetanus? Thank you.

I've been on prednisone for 3 years now due to (SLE). I've gone as high as 60mg a day and as low as 10mg a day. It varies depending on how bad a flare I'm having. I'm also taking Actonel to help with the bone loss (if any). Are there any other side effects or have anyone experienced symptoms from prolong use of prednisone?

i found this article that summarized the cause of leg swelling
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003104.htm
but still not answering my mother problem(60yrs).
I'm quite worry with statements of "Swollen legs may be a sign of heart failure, kidney failure, or liver failure". But early this year she went to cardiologist , and dr early investigation said everything is fine. Few months back, her lab checking found nothing harm after checking her urine. And last year, she went for medical checkup that did not find anything about her liver.

Due to hypertension, she consumed 10mg of norvacs which according to the article may cause swelling leg as well.
Her swelling leg will come on and off. But definitely will have it for long journey trip.

Now, I am confused since i bring her to few dr's and none of them point out the cause neither give specific receipts for this.
I am not sure about water pills is, and what's its side effect, and if it possibly could help her?
Please help

I get bouts of constipation quite often and I'm wondering how you can tell if you have a bowel obstruction. I can go eventually, but the time it takes for me to do so just makes me wonder if something else besides IBS is up.

OK..Please only answer if you have knowledge on this. I have severe panic and anxiety and the only relief I have found is through an antidepressant called Lexapro and an anti-anxiety med called Xanax. I only take .5 mg a day of the Xanax because I have a VERY stressful job and it gets me through the day. I have "wiened" myself from Lexapro entirely.
I am currently trying to get pregnant and have some known fertility issues. I am doing acupuncture and chinese herbs before going the specialist route to help me get pregnant. Will Xanax interefere with ovulation? Is there a safe alternative?
