I have been taking Lamictal (bipolar medicine), Adderol (Amphetamine salts; for ADD), and Welbutrin to get me off of smoking which I have done now but use it to level me out somewhat.

Can any of these medicines be damaging in he long run if I take them and not overdose at all?

Hi!

I'm a 25yo WM who was diagnosed with "Infantile Seizures" at apx age 1 or 2 and placed on phenobarbital until apx age 4. Now I'm 25 with a lot of questions about the long term effects of both the seizures (I had 2 episodes) and the medication I was on. Sorry I can't be more exact on dates, my mom died a few yrs ago and was the one who would have known.

What I Know
Until age 4 when I came of the pheno I was a healthy, slightly underweight child, by the time I started kindergarten I had ballooned to nearly 100lbs.

Second I have very few memories of childhood up to age 12.

Third I've had some severe issues with depression and have been predominantly unresponsive to or had severe adverse reactions to every depression medication I've been on.

Before someone gets the wrong impression, I'm not sure that these are inter-related or causative, I just want to know if anyone else is in the same boat or if anyone else has any information regarding the situation I'm in. Thanks!

I'm having severe pain on my left side (kidney) along with swelling and fever. My dr. ran an IVP since I had Kindey Stones removed last year, but I don't see anything on this report that explains my pain. It states "The film demonstrates a nonspecific bowel gas pattern as well as A film taken immediately after injection of contrast reveals prompt bilateral nephrograms and delicate Calices." My dr. was closed after my test was run and if I'm correct, I don't think the IPV showed anything and I'm still in major pain. Anyone out there that knows what any of this means, I would love to know before Monday if I'm going to have to do more testing or what. My rt. side is now tender too.

How long will these symptoms continue. I am able to keep toast down, but the tummy is still not happy & my head is about to explode with the typical light & sound ultra-sensitivity, blurred vision, etc. I haven't had a migrane in many months and this one's not responding to 5 mg of oxycodone + naproxin, I'm pretty sure its still the food poisoning response, and it will help me to get through it if I know how long I have to hang-in there. .(the "poor babys" & cyber hugs will help too :} )
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

And yes, I saved the can & its remaining contents for the FDA on Monday & no, it had no bulges, but it did have a strong "can" taste (which is why most of it remains) & I realize now that the little spurt of juice when I opened it probably wasn't just from falling & rolling around on the floor when I took it from the cupboard!

I can't understand why I am so ashamed of having this crappy disease. It is not like I calused it. I am embarrassed I guess. So many people stay in the closet for many years before speaking out. With cancer people tell everyone immediately with MS people tell people when it is absolutely necessary

my mom's brother and sister have parkinson's disease.
sometimes i get these episodes that last 1-3 weeks where my eyelids sometimes tremble for a few seconds several times a day,
could this be a sign that i'll have parkinson's in the future? i'm only 23 right now, but i'm worried that these small signs may mean future problems. thanks

I'm reading about possible disorders that involve diarrhea as one of the main symptoms. IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome) apparently occurs in many people under stress. When I went to the doctor's office, she assumed that my problem was stress induced. Also, I learned that half of the women with IBS experienced sexual abuse which also happened to me. However, I don't see how there could be anything I'm under stress about... it's summer vacation and I don't have anything to worry about yet my problems seem to be happening more and more frequently. Are there any other symptoms of IBS that might help me see if this is what I'm suffering from?
