My wife was diagnosed with Poly-Cystic Kidney disease nearly 20 yrs ago. It can cause high blood pressure, so monitor it. It can make it VERY difficult, if not impossible, to get life insurance. Though she has high BP, she is still very active. She is a runner and 2nd degree black belt. So, basically, just maintain your health, and monitor, and you will live life normally.
Good luck!

A cyst is fluid filled collection. Simple cyst in kidney means a fluid filled collection in kidney..it may be due to different reasons..such as since birth, in old age a degenerative process, due to repeated dialysis. They dont causes any harm IF they r not complicated, infected, rupture or if belong to a spectrum of diseses AUTOSOMAL POLYCYSTIC KIDNEY. Simple cyst on ultrasound doesnt contain echoes or multiple septation. if some complication occur there may be multiple septation, which upon the no. of septation we called complicated cyst.If there r very few septation still there is no problem but if there r multiple septation and echoes this mean some complication mainly infection. COMPLICTAED CYST NEED INTERVENTION. other cyst if they are small and not causing any pain dont need any intervention. Concern ur doctor but no need for alarm Dr Mohd Imran Saifi

Hi, I hope your doctor is treating your complaint, cysts can grow quite big, i had one on my ovary it was the size of a grapefruit and full of blood, bone and gunge (don't know how all that got there) don't let your doctor forget about your complaint, cysts can be persuaded away with tablets. I had to have a hysterectomy because of my cyst, because cysts have a habit of re-occurring.

I got two cysts on my right eyelid at the moment.
Flippin' things.Local, ina week or two. Had them before.
It was just where they are thats the problem.
You really do not want five nurses and medical staff charging you and pinning you in a chair. Then come at you with some sort of torture instrument.
Thats what happened last time,..scared the be'jesus outta me..!
Gotta go through it again....
...only this time with scalples...!!!!

I was told I have one in my left kidney six years ago,I think it means you will not be able to donate it if someone in your family needs it.
