Each hospital sets their own rules for volunteers.
Call your local hospital and ask.
If they say you're too young to have contact with patients, ask about other volunteer opportunities. Maybe they need someone to decorate for various holidays, deliver flowers to the nurses' station, pick up and deliver patient charts, x-rays or test results.
It's great that you're looking into volunteer service.

You mean candy striper, a volunteer? I'm not sure. Probably 16 or so, but I could be wrong. You cold always call your local hospital and ask to speak to someone in human resources, they'll be able to give you the information you need. Good luck.

Most hospitals require you to be at least 16 unless it is through a school program such as a basic nurses assistant classs that allows you to have one on one training and become a certified nurse assistant ( I will be 15 for this because I have a summer B-day)
