treatment being the focal point of the community? If a given amount of people with OCD in a given area donates money over an extended period of time to build this community and hospital (who's main purpose is routine brain scanning to determine if certain medications are doing the job or not without waiting 3 weeks to find out. A school for sufferers and people determined to find a cure alike can attend to develop new ways of thinking about the disorder. Who else but a sufferer would want to find a cure more? I feel fed up with therapy and pills that make me sick. I want to actually look in my brain and see whats going wrong, but I can't afford it. All of us with OCD should try to take matters in our own hands a little and build a place where we definately won't feel alone. The continual money we put into it would definately keep it running and I'm sure help a ton of people. I'm going to start putting money away for it. What do you guys think?

Sounds interesting!

Have you tried yoga or acupuncture? Tai chi can help OCD sufferers, too.

Emmanuel C,
i couldnt tell exactly if i understood what you were really seriously getting at with that question or comment but there actually is a place that from what i thought it sounded like, is very similar to what you are wishing for and i actually have been there. i spent 3 months in therapy there concentrating on anything and everything related to curing my ocd and so was everytone else in the program. is this what you are tlaking about? this place was my savior,my sanctuary, my miracle solution to getting my life back. i feel so strongly about it. if it sounds like im on the right track in terms of your idea, please do not hesitate to IM me or email me ( Im guessing theres a way to do this thru our profiles in yahoo answers- idont know never done it before but i guess you could try). anyway, if you have bad ocd and desperate need of true, qualtiy the best of the best help, i just may be able to help refer you to a facility and program that may change your life. contact me if you so desire ok? and ill explain more than.

Large problem with idea. Once we start gating off (segregating) people for any reason, the door opens to start segregating people for a lot less good reasons. We've been THERE, before. History says, "Bad Idea, because some people take advantage".
