I have an eye sty and orientation is soon and school. Is it possible that it can get so bad, I could go into Surgery? Is it true it is caused by stress? It would make sense because i started feeling pain in my eye when i came home from a vacation to a house of responsibility and frustration. Also, what are some things i could do to help it go away, or even voodo things, like my mom said if i swiped a bunch of my hair on it 9 times across in the morning before i got out of bed, it would go away, my aunt had it and said that worked, but my eye still hurts right now. Here are my questions just incase i confused you-
1. Is it possible to get surgery?
2. Does the Hair swipe 9 times across it help?
3. What are other things that could make it go away?
4. Is it possible that coming home from my vacation to a house of responsibility would have caused it?

Thank you so much!

Stye is a bacterial infection of the eyelash hair follicles. They usually will grow and burst on their own and go away. The important thing to remember is they are highly contagious, so keep your fingers away from it. Do NOT attempt to "pop" it prematurely. You can get some relief and possibly hasten the bursting by applying warm compresses to it with a wash cloth. Be sure not to use the wash cloth on anything else, especially near your healthy eye.

1. Is it possible to get surgery?

Not the usual treatment

2. Does the Hair swipe 9 times across it help?

No

3. What are other things that could make it go away?

Try using Colloidal Silver, that has worked for me in the past. Put some on a cotton ball and leave it on the sty for about 10 minutes three or four times a day.

4. Is it possible that coming home from my vacation to a house of responsibility would have caused it?

I have heard of stress leading to it as the whole immune system is compromised.

For styes, apply a warm, moist compress for 10 minutes three or four times a day until the sty comes to a head and drains.

You could get an eye cream/ drops from the pharmacy. It works pretty quickly, you'll see a difference within 24 hours and the pain and itching is almost immediately relieved.

If you are using any eye makeup- STOP. It could be too old and have bacteria. Go to the doctor and he will give you antibiotic eyedrops. If you can't go, put a warm damp towel on it a couple times a day. Don't touch it.
