Doxycycline is generally well-tolerated. The most common side effects are diarrhea or loose stools, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Tetracyclines, such as doxycycline, may cause tooth discoloration if used in persons below 8 years of age. Exaggerated sunburn can occur with tetracyclines; therefore, sunlight should be minimized during treatment.
The use of Drugs (some cold remedies, some nasal decongestants, tricyclic antidepressants, and anticholinergics which may be used for incontinence
This can also be caused by a urinary tract infection, especially if chronic and recurrent . Is there any pain on trying to pass?

Difficulty in urinating whilst taking doxycycline is one of the side-effects. Do you have any belly pain or other symptoms such as, severe diarrhoea or tooth discolouration? Or do you have rash, vomiting or sensitivity to the sun? If so, this antibiotic(which is also an anti-malarial), is not the right one for you, you may be allergic. go back to the Dr and let him/her know and they should change it for you.
Hope this helps and have a great day/night!!!
Good luck

You definitely have a problem. I hope you get the test results back soon. Then they'll know how to treat it, hopefully.
It's good that you've learned how to relax so you can urinate. I know it hurts to go, but you have to drink plenty of water.
If you're sexaully active, stop or cover it every time. Good luck!

Call the Dr. office and find out what your urine results show, you may need a different antibotic. You/Dr. need to get you on road to recovery.

Try azo standard. It's a drug we ladies use for a bladder infection--it makes peeing less painful. It might help you, too?
