My sister needs a kidney transplant and we are the same blood type. Although she is on the waiting list for a kidney, I am feeling guilty like I should be the one to help her- but I am scared to go through with the surgery. Do you think I should do it?

I was in the hospital Thanksgiving 2005 and they were going to take my colon out. I had been hopitalized 4 times in less than 2 years and I couldn't function. I literally crapped in my pants without knowing it. I was in so much pain they were dripping some really fantastic pain med into me-- I was afraid I'd be an addict by the time I left the hospital.

I said "no". My doctor got mad, kicked me out of the hospital. I started taking some SHAKLEE probiotics, detoxed on alfalfa and about 20 other bottles of stuff. Started getting better, then went to a doctor an hour and a half away from where I lived and started taking NAET treatments. The first time I had a flare-up I was scared to death I would end up in the hospital again. My new doctor told me to come down and I'd be fine. He did a treatment and it was gone within a few hours. Please-- don't let any doctor tell you that you have to take meds the rest of your life and you'll never get better. It's a lie.

I am 23 and a stutter. I got the speecheasy device a year and a half ago. I havent been impressed by it and was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I was dissapointed by Jonus' follow up research and wanted to hear what other users think.

My 9 year old son has been holding his bowel movements to the point where I'm having to give him an enema to use the bathroom. When he does finally go, the stool is so large it's hard to believe it all was inside of him. The stool is not hard at all so I cannot figure out why he is doing this. Any suggestions on what to do?

Many old say they been smoking since teenage ; however, over 20 years they r still healthy. If tobacco contains so much carcinogen as cited in many papers and health publishings, why would some still die of other ways but cancer as the main cause.

we opened up our silverwear drawer today and realized that it is filled with mouse poop...a fact we didnt notice until we had used the silverwear down to the poop layer. Now my stomach has been bothering me all week and i wonder if this could be related? (probobly right). Anyway What should i do? I havent actually seen a mouse yet/seen a box torn into by one but its most def poop in that drawer. Should i see a doctor, get a shot of penicillin, induce vomitting? SERIOUSLY what in the world should i do? (one of my other roomates this week has also been sick to her stomach this week)

I was working in sick building and then one doctor thinks I also have Lyme disease. All of a sudden, after 2 months of medicines, I have severe reactions to any medicine. I end up in ER and at home bedridden for weeks every time I try to take any medicines(including nasal spray). They are not allergic reactions in the sense of my throat swelling up... it's that I can't tolerate them(tachycardia, orthostatic hyper, difficulty breathing...)

I had to have surgery on both of my big toes about a year ago, and had to have most of the nail removed. I have gotten comments that "you have the smallest toenails i have ever seen" and that makes me feel self consious... other than getting fake/ acrylic nails, is there any way i can get my toes to look "normal" (I almost never wear sandals because of this and it's getting really warm out, so i want to wear sandals, but feel confident that nobody is going to comment on my toes anymore)

She had a sprain in her ankle and shes fine.. The only problem is, The ER that I went to was DISGUSTING!!!!!!. It had dust near the oxygen valves, crusted blood on the boarders of the walls and IV poles, stains and holes in the walls, the strechers were black and filthy underneath and it disturbed me that the doctors work in this and the patients and families dont see this.. It was in the Pediatrics dept that made it worse. Anyway, I wrote a letter to the Board of Health and The Administration dept of the Hospital. I know the easiet thing for me to do is say that Im not going to bring my kids there anymore and ignore it, but something has to be done.. At least for our children. Do u know what other measures I could take? I almost wrote a letter to the mayor!!!. Its a hospital in Brooklyn.. in a inner city neighborhood, but thats not the point... what would u do?

I'm 20yo and everytime I go to the doctor they say there is fluid in my ear. Sometimes they get infected and I take antibiotics, the infection clears up while on the antibiotics but then the infection comes back in a few weeks. What can help me get my ears to drain?

I know that if something is hard to digest like gum it can cause problems with your gallbladder and I have a bad gallbladder. Since it was 7 hours ago do you think that it would have already had time to affect me.

Almost a year ago, I was tested for lupus and had a positive ana test. I was sent to a rheumetologist (sp) She told me that I do not have lupus, that I have arthritus. I stay cold, I stay tired, I am gaining weight, and I hurt in my joints (always a different spot) all the time. Alot of times when my pain comes on, it last for only 3 dAYS and goes away and comes back in a different location. It feels like a little man in the pain spot with a knife sawing away. Can anyone help me with this? Does this sound familar to anyone? I am only 34 and I have already had a lymphnode in my neck taken out and that was fine. I was told that my whole lymphatic system was enlarge. I am just lost! Thank you in advance for any help!

i have a friend who used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day without any problems but lately when he smokes, he gets bouts of ataxia where he feels vertigo, cannot move properly, is reduced to walking in little steps and is forced to lie down for a period of 8-12 hours. The ataxia experienced is for a long period of time and the walking gait, balance, and stance are affected. The best way to describe it is the movements of my friend become robotic and cannot do much physical activity. Has anyone ever heard of or experienced this condition and if so are there any remedies. Thanks all

Okay lately I've been getting red lines on my eyes and they haven't been going away except when I use eye-drops, also lately it doesn't seem like I'm sleeping like a real deep sleep like I used to, it feels like I close my eyes but not fully just enough for me to dream and rest. Also I have floaters on both my eyes one on each eye. Are they ever going to go away? Also is it normal to see little purple dots from my eyes on anything white or in the dark? Am I normal or am I going to have eye-sight problems?

I went to a walk-in clinic yesterday cause I was feeling sick.. (Turned out to be bronchitus(sp?)) And he perscribed Duratuss AC12 and Omnicef...

What are the side effects?

Cause after taking the meds, my stomach has been feeling really weird.. Like, bad weird. It feels like there's air in my stomach... (I didn't eat fast or eat different foods..so it's not that...)

I called and asked the doc who was in today, and she told me "its probably from the antibiotics" but acted like it was nothing...

It hurts, and I'm wondering if it's cause of the meds? And what are the other side effects?

I guess having tummy pains is better than feeling like i have to cough every time i breathe in, though.. hmm

Anyway, thanks for your time..and answers..:-) They're appreciated.
