Almost a year ago, I was tested for lupus and had a positive ana test. I was sent to a rheumetologist (sp) She told me that I do not have lupus, that I have arthritus. I stay cold, I stay tired, I am gaining weight, and I hurt in my joints (always a different spot) all the time. Alot of times when my pain comes on, it last for only 3 dAYS and goes away and comes back in a different location. It feels like a little man in the pain spot with a knife sawing away. Can anyone help me with this? Does this sound familar to anyone? I am only 34 and I have already had a lymphnode in my neck taken out and that was fine. I was told that my whole lymphatic system was enlarge. I am just lost! Thank you in advance for any help!

I had changing pain in different joints that shifted over time. It felt like it was some kind of infection. The doctor told me it was arthritis. I didn't really believe him because it felt like my joints were being attacked by something. Luckily I found a cure on my own with no help from the doctors. I took 4 tablets of Nature Made Fish Oil everyday. Also I only use canola oil and olive oil for cooking. To make the Omega 3s in fish oil work you have to avoid all the other vegetable oils because they have a lot of Omega 6s in them which competes with the Omega 3s for the same enzymes. So now I feel as good as I did before this arthritis thing ever happen. I hope this remedy will work for you too. My arthritis has not come back for over a year now.

I think you might want to see the rheumatologist again. It would be important to find out what sort of arthritis it is thought to be and what sort of medicines you need.

Sounds to me like you would need some pain relief medications and if possible because you are so young you might do well with some other medications that can modify the course of the disease if it is certain forms of arthritis (eg Rheumatoid arthritis).

The weight gain is a difficult thing because that would cause more pressure on your joints and will make any arthritis worse. The trouble there is that without some form of pain relief, the terrible pain you are describing is going to make an exercise regime difficult.

Have a bit of a read about arthritis
